They don't have to, the same way as they don't have to localize any other Falcom title.

Read the whole sentence, I didn't mean they are in any way obligated to release it. But unless Falcom has told them otherwise it's safe to assume its going to stay a PSP-only product for the time being. And with their partnership XSeed is basically just sitting on the property, it only hurts them by waiting around for a port that for all anyone knows may never happen.

It was Christmass... XSEED canceled Christmas.

Nah, Grand Knight History got the axe because Vanillaware sucks.

I also expect Black*Shooter or whatever that techno moe shooter from imageepoch is to get the can too.

Black Rock Shooter...what ever happened to that? They announced it like 7 or 8 months ago and haven't heard hardly a thing sense. Is it in limbo or something? No way its taking that long to localize post announcement.

Well, I don't think it's going to get localized at all so ultimately whether or not it comes out on UMD, PSN only, Vita or whatever is kind of moot. But that's just my opinion. I don't think the partnership is "Let's get as many Falcom games in English as possible" so much as it is a mutual respect between the companies, with XSEED essentially saying "we can localize this, there's an audience for it" and Falcom working out a deal for the game in question.

I haven't been able to find the quote to it, but I remember reading on the Nisa forum that it got mentioned by a mod:

It's not that Imageepoch is "stopping" us. It's just that there are some non-localization-related stuff that needs to get hashed out first. All in due time.

There was another quote I read, but I can't remember where... I believe it had to do with the programming.

Yeah, as said GKH cancelled thanks to Vanillaware, but on the bright side, XSEED will be bringing over Ragnorak Odyssey and Orgarhythm for the PSVita!
