Anyone have an idea at what XSEED's next acquisition(s) may be? I honestly... have no idea! The most obvious choices, being Falcom games, are text-heavy PSP titles, so probably not those... I think I'll put my money on Ys IV though! But it probably won't be announced until after seeing Ragnarok's numbers.

Sure Ragnarok's numbers will determine if Ys Vita comes over? Seems unlikely...

Then again, Ken did mention that preorders for RO were 'going strong' so that's a good thing.

Book of Shadows is a no-brainer. Nayuta no Kiseki and Ys IV are good bets. Trails in the Sky and any other Ys game on Steam would be likely as well. Senran Kagura might be picked due to fan-requests. Other than those, no idea.

Well, just since alot of people aren't really wanting to get their feet wet with Vita. Just a feeling that maybe if Ragnarok does well, Ys IV would be localized sooner than later, perhaps? Then again they might already be working on it as we speak You just never know...

I think Ys IV will get localized either way, and I believe that a physical print is likely as well. Ragnarok Odyssey sales might impact the "how" or "when", but for me, it's comming no matter what.

If Vita had more games I'd have one right now. Atm it just feels like a waste of money. RO and YsIV are some of the only games I can see buying for it (couldn't care less about Orgarhythm or Sumioni). Gravity Rush and P4: Golden are also pick ups, but I wouldn't buy the system for them.

Hopefully Sony shows a lot more games for it at the "Game Heaven" event or TGS.

Yes, please. And let's hope they will be titles that at least stand a CHANCE of being localized!! To be honest, I sort of hope for a bunch of PSP ports... When SO many great titles got passed by in the west, I really hope that some will get ported to Vita so that they might get a second chance!

Most Japanese companies are still developing for the PSP. There are over a dozen high-quality PSP games in production at the moment. I really don't see how the Vita will stand a chance. Also, Western companies seem to have already given up on the Vita. And no, creating games like Uncharted and Resistance does not show promise. It just shows that Western companies see the VIta as a second-tier system where once great franchises come to die. Anyway, sorry for being so harsh.

Eh. The Vita was something I really wanted to like, but SCEA's been so laissez-faire about the thing that it's painfully hard to care about it. I probably won't buy it until the end of the run, if at all, given the fact that Celceta is pretty much the only game I want for it unless LOH7 somehow becomes relevant in America.

Still, I would be highly surprised if Xseed didn't pick up Celceta. It and Book of Shadows are pretty much the obvious choices for additional Xseed games. In other words, pretty much this:

...with the exception of the fact that Nayuta's still not out so I don't think we know how text heavy or plot heavy it is, and in a worst case scenario it might still be too related to LOH6/7. I WOULD BUY IT DAY ONE THOUGH. *cough*

I think the Vita has a great future if Sony pushes it. I mean the autumn line-up seriously isn't bad at all and looks better than any other handheld on the market IMO. I will definitely be picking up Sound Shapes, LBP, Silent Hill: Book of Memories (this game will surprise a lot of people I think), Persona 4: Golden, Ragnarok Odyssey, Retro City Rampage and New Little King's Story this fall. Then there are like ten more games I will be keeping an eye on including big-hitters like exclusive BACONBACONBACON's Creed and Call of Duty titles as well as many multiplatform releases.

I don't think Sony got the Vita's launch wrong in terms of games during the first year, at least not outside Japan. They're just doing a terrible job communicating it. Watching their E3 presentation would give you the idea that two games were coming out for the Vita this year but that's far from the truth. I hope the Vita will do well and spawn many XSEED localizations just like the PSP did. The Vita has no competitor of the same hardware quality, they need to communicate this too.
