Oh yeah, Tom! Can you adjust the text speed or is it slow just like a gameplay video I saw the other day?

You can adjust it. There are four different speeds, from "slow" to "all" (i.e. everything popping into the window at once).

Some lines here and there are auto-timed to display slowly, in order to better match a moody voiced line... but most of them display in the speed you set.

    I highly recommend "all," personally.

Oh, I see. I like "all" too. When it's slow the character usually talk and since the texts are still showing up, it leaves that akward silence in the game before I press X.

hmm...slow seems best for when "something" is "following" one throughout the halls and such (and making your heart-race a bit [don't know why, just sorta excitement?])
and all for when it's just info. on the murders and such or grabbing items and other just necessary, but sorta useless cutescenes.

Just wanted to say I fully support the decision of leaving in the Japanese voice acting. Seriously, companies doing localization should do this more often.

The cast for this game looks like an all-star one too.

I disagree with Vino, but understand why a dub wasn't persued it was done in this case. In most cases though, I would personally hope for at least an option to choose as I will 99.9% of the time go with the English when given the choice.

Aksys in particular seems to avoid dubbing more often than not, and although it doesn't stop me from supporting their games, it does really bother me in stuff like Record of Agarest War where there's dialogue in battle for example that can't be subbed, meaning I end up having no clue what they're going on about.

    Example:

Oh yeah, that really was irritating. Corpse Party is not a problem because everything will have subtitles, so we'll understand everything.

I'll agree with this. Especially with media from Japan, where voice acting is big business and (mostly) high quality. Coming from a non-english speaking country, I grew up reading subtitles to original audio, always. So I'm biased that way because of what I'm used to.
