It sounds like its a pun on the terrier family of dogs, so I'd think the Atlus one would seem the best to me anyways.
Currently Playing: Fire Emblem: Awakening, Digimon Adventure, Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed
Games Beaten in 2013: 8: Retro Game Challenge, Corpse Party 2U, Code of Princess, Dark Souls, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Atelier Meruru, Yakuza: Dead Souls, Liberation Maiden
"Theria" is consistent with how it was localized in the French PlayStation version from back in the day. Pretty sure they used the same name on the Japanese website, so I think that's official.
So Theria's actually the official romanization? Interesting.

Here's another cameo name oddity.

Stair?2 localizers agreed, 1 did not. Whats the word on this take on her name?
Yeah, that is a curious one. "Stair" is a really weird romanization.
The French PlayStation version also has "Stair". I have no idea if there is an official romanization or not (weren't there romanized names found in the Japanese version of Solatorobo?), but at this point my guess would be that since NoE did the translation, they were keeping consistency with the only version of Tail Concerto that came out in that region.
Edit: I checked the Japanese website, and it didn't have any English text for most characters. Looks like I was remembering wrong. So the French version of TC must have been their source. (But while it had its weird bits, it was definitely more accurate than the Atlus ones, which was not one of their better translation jobs. That was back before Atlus was consistently great.)
