I've seen that they trashed the game and honestly, I couldn't care less about their reviews anyway.
I give the game a 15/10, so if we average things out between this and my (futuristic) review, Solatorobo is doing well with a 9.5. Not too shabby at all.
It'd be nice to have a reviews topic designed for both professional and amateur reviews.
Mine would be the professional one, right?

Well, he wouldn't have gotten onto the front page of Metacritic without a really scathing final score. Despite saying the game is too easy and a bit repetitive, he does note "Solatorobo's lively, detailed world and graphics that manage to impress, despite being on a seven-year-old system", so I don't think the actual review is that ridiculous. Pinsof just didn't like the gameplay and focus on worldbuilding. Even if he really disliked the game, one might also surmise that he thought a lower score than would be objectively justified (given that he doesn't deny many of the game's strong points) would garner some attention..

And for the record, I stand behind Destructoid's reviews...
...just not the ones done by Allistair Pinsoff.
You do know that we're talking about a website that gave Disgaea 4 the same score as Gears of War 3, right?
