Post picture of your Game collection

I have M & M Millennium (no box) which has M & M 6, 7, World of Xeen (and some other stuff I forget) and the ridiculously incomplete M & M IX (the blue boxed M & M game) which is the last "straight RPG" in the series and was released in such an unfinished state that you actually need to download fan patches to play it!. Even then, it's still a dog and a half of a game... too bad.

Been considering the Might & Magic series from gog.com, i have the aforementioned ginormous box that included M&M I - VI, but only a handful work on XP/Vista/7 so i haven't been able to dig into them much. I'm just worried that the first games might be "too retro" for my tastes, that and my experience with those kind of RPGs has been very limited.

Ah, ok.
Been considering the Might & Magic series from gog.com, i have the aforementioned ginormous box that included M&M I - VI, but only a handful work on XP/Vista/7 so i haven't been able to dig into them much. I'm just worried that the first games might be "too retro" for my tastes, that and my experience with those kind of RPGs has been very limited.

Well, the visuals in those early games are dated deluxe, but the gameplay is brutal. Gates to Another World is AMAZINGLY hard (I played the Genesis version beofre the PC one, so that's my main point of reference) and I recall part III looking really pretty for its time (even the console versions were pretty nice looking). It all depends on whether you like sprite-based visuals that aren't manga or anime-influenced, I suppose.

I need to check gog.com and see if Anvil of Dawn was ever given an XP reworking for the site. That was one of my favorite RPGs of that era, as it was action-based, first person and "3D". New World Computing was a powerhouse developer during that period, that's for sure. I have the game here, but getting it to run properly in DOSBOX is a pain. I definitely want it with all the sounds, music and movies, as all add to the experience...

Sagadego: Shadow of Destiny is beautiful, isn't it? I found the PS2 version for $5 and god. beautiful game. my friends and i had a helluva time with it.
