Actually, working on Corpse Party put me in a really GOOD mood. It was very therapeutic, somehow.Reeeeally hope we get to do the sequel, as I think I had more fun working on Corpse Party than any other game I've done yet -- even the Falcom titles! There's just something so deliciously invigorating about translating such horrible, horrible things.

Aww, Yuka's not that bad. I'd whine too if I were trapped in a haunted school full of murderous ghosts and all the toilets were conspiring against me! (Plus I found one of the scariest parts of the game to be when you're playing as Yuka, but I won't spoil that part)
I agree that all the horrible stuff is pretty fun though. It has me going "oh no, that's awful, poor ____!" and yet at the same time it's so entertaining.
Yuka's behavior would be fine... if she were like, 5. But she's supposed to be *14*. I can't even comprehend a 14-year-old girl whining that much. (:
I did feel bad for her in parts, and indeed, some of her scenes WERE pretty darned scary... I know I jumped more than once when playing her scenario... but yeah, I'm not a big Yuka fan. She's definitely my least-favorite character. Seiko, Ayumi and Yoshiki are my favorites by far. Naomi and Satoshi are also pretty cool... Morishige is just kind of awkward, but that's part of his charm... Mayu is OK, though she doesn't really come into her own until Book of Shadows (where she's actually kind of awesome!)... and Ms. Yui is just really kooky fun in a cheezy "goooo education!" sort of way.

My favorites are Seiko (obviously) and Nahothe teacher's pretty cool, too.
(I'm neutral about Yuka, but I have to say the Musume manga made me go 'ew' - really, did they have to do that? :x)
Oh dear, I haven't read Musume... what did they do to her in it?
And yeah, I was only counting the main 9 characters -- but if we're including side characters, Naho is definitely tops on the list... and Kizami is right behind her.

She, uh, couldn't hold it in. It wasn't pretty.
Technically, she can't in the game, either... though I imagine, from your reaction, that it must've been a bit more graphic in the manga. (:
