    Camelot on Starz

Anyone seen the first couple episodes yet? I just watched them last night and was extremely impressed. Very fast moving, great acting (although I'm not a fan of the guy who plays Arthur, he might grow on me but I hated him as Antony in the Sweeney Todd film, although I pretty much hated everything about that movie), story and mythos were well done, fantastic production values, etc. I would highly recommend it to anyone else! Now I play the waiting game for Game of Thrones on HBO... Never read the books, but have heard some phenomenal things on the Song of Ice and Fire series and loooooove me some Sean Bean...

You must read(or listen) to A Game of Thrones. Correct this atrocity immediately. By far one if the most engrossing fantasy series I have ever read.

Just placed an order with Amazon for the first book! I don't like watching things based on books before having read them, I just hope I have the time to get through it before the series starts!

You won't. Each novel is massive and this is coming from a natural speed reader. The audiobooks run 50hours about and there's a new novel coming out as well. DVR!

Oh my... I'm a pretty slow reader so this might take a while, thank god for my DVR... I cancelled my order for just the first book and spent ten bucks more to get a nice box set of all four on Amazon. They're on track for a Thursday arrival so I guess I'll have to find me some time to read! Last book I read for fun was Brave Story (which I really really liked), so I'm pretty excited to get into a new series! I've been doing audiobooks on my car rides to and from school for the Harry Potter series and the Mass Effect novels recently, but I'm guessing a big complex fantasy novel like this would be difficult to understand, focus on, or pay complete attention to while driving.

I only saw the first ep of Camelot on Direct TV's 101. I don't get Starz unfortunately. It looks pretty good though, and I've always loved anything about Arthur and the Knights of the round (even the somewhat lame cartoon). I'll be looking for it when/if it comes out on dvd.
