    Funny, your post remembered me of a guy that once said that until the game's out for real, even release dates and announcements will never be 100% confirmation that the game will be released, and I agree with that.

    Me too. If somehow the game doesn't make it out here, I'll buy the Japanese version from Falcom. But that's a worst-case scenario that I'm hoping to avoid.

    Then again, if Falcom decides to do a really cool LE in Japan, I might buy it in addition to the US version.

    Definitely looking forward to this. If only I knew Japanese, then I wouldn't have to rely on localizations to play some good action JRPGS. But until then, i'll keep supporting XSeed. Think I'm going to pick up Felghana soon, looks really fun. And Seven was amazing.

    Joined the forums specifically to say I'm hoping you guys can pick this game up and localize it. This gives me an actual reason to get a Playstation Vita eventually. I'll wait and make sure it's getting a localization though. ; )

    Anyways, better put on my serious face and play Ys Seven on Normal mode in preparation for the new one. No more training wheels with easy mode.

    Yes, it's similar to Ys Seven system, but unfortunately, I don't have PS Vita yet, I'm having some troubles with money

    I think they already have picked it up. They just can't localize it yet until the game is done. There has been no word from falcom about the game for a while which probably means they are still working on it.
    I may be blinded and misunderstood by society. But I see things that other people do not see. Knowledge is power but also creates insanity. Respect the decisions made by other people and they will respect yours. I am now called "therpgfan" on other websites now.

    Assuming Falcom is still on track for a 2012 release date, I'd expect it to be very late in the year. And Falcom's games are pretty detailed and have more text than you'd think, so it will probably take a while to translate and localize it too. Wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being a late 2013 or even 2014 title for the west depending on how the timing works out.

    But I do think XSEED releasing it is more of a "when" than an "if."

    My suspicion is that it'll be out in Japan for Sept 2012 or Dec 2012. If it's Sept, that'll be one heck of a fiscal quarter for Falcom, too. ;;

    Hopefully Ragnarok Odyssey will do great as a retail PS Vita game for XSEED, and Ys IV gets the same treatment as well.
