Stop publishing digital only games. (Corpse Party)

Bloody hell XSeed, give consumers a choice. Don't punish the ones that want it on disc.

    Incredibly pissed about Corpse Party.

TC apparently missed the part about XSEED only having two options: whether to localize the game as DD or to not localize it at all.

Be happy with what you get.

Actually, no, I will not "be happy with what I get". I am a consumer, and I want the option that suits me best.

The onus is on them to convince me to buy their product. Why should I give them money if it's not what I want?

Why should they take a chance of ruining themselves just to make the people who are convinced they have to own a physical copy happy?

This is the first game they're publishing digital-only for the PSP if I recall correctly...

Why shouldn't they satisfy their entire customer base?

Because the game won't be nearly profitable enough. In case you didn't know, XSEED is a company. Companies have to make money. If they don't make money, then they have no way of releasing games. If they can't release games, you don't get games.

And if they don't release games the way everyone wants, they get less sales and make less money. That makes no business sense at all. Again, their business depends on their customers, and if they alienate them, how will they make money?

They had what would have been a guaranteed sale, and turned it into a "will never buy". How does that make them money?

Also, that is a stupid excuse.

They'd almost definitely lose more money by making printed copies and appealing to everybody than they would by making it DD-only and losing a few people who refuse to download games, at least from what I can gather on why XSEED is doing this.

You seem to think that you're in the majority, but as far as I know, you're not. XSEED isn't filled with idiots who don't know how to do business.

As I said elsewhere, me and DD just don't mix. I constantly forget about titles I download (even if I really wanted them, like Mega Man 9 or Wipeout HD) and wind up never playing them. They just waste digital space on my HDD/memorystick. I've wanted CP for a while, but I know I won't enjoy it in the form it's in.

And yes, I know that's horrible of me to say. If I've wanted the game I should just get it, right? Platform and distribution shouldn't matter. However, that's just not how my mind works. If I downloaded CP I would forget about it after putting it down for the first time. Happened with Umineko.

I dunno why, but boxes and physical media just created more of an impression with me. *sigh*
