In other Persona news, Atlus has teamed up with Arc System Works in order to produce a 2D fighter based on the Persona universe.
Developed by the team behind Arc's BlazBlue fighting series, the Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena has a new story that takes place two months after the events of Persona 4. Characters from both Persona 4 and Persona 3 will appear in the game.

I don't really play fighting games anymore, but I shall buy this and probably sink an insane amount of time into mastering it.
Wow, when I first heard about this I wasn't sure how they would really do it, but I have to say it's looking pretty amazing so far.
I'm not a big fighting game person either, but if the characters are from a series I already enjoy I'll give it a go (i.e. Smash Bros, Dissidia, Viewtiful Joe RHR, etc).
ergh I hope theres more to that roster...cause it looks like only 3 P3 characters counting Aigis. Either way I am incredibly satisfied about FINALLY getting a new persona game. Was getting tired of all the remakes...

Atlus is quickly becoming the new Squeenix - ports and spinoffs and nothing new at all.
I don't play fighting games but this is kinda weird / cool. I appreciate that it's multiplatform.
P5 is in the works... the development team said that the game will be different from previous Persona titles and that they plan to add even more to the series with it than P3 did. That's good news to me. I liked P3 and P4 but we really need a change. I'm also gonna call BS on your statement because Catherine not only stands out from anything Atlus has done in the past but from pretty much anything in gaming, period.
