Way too many licenses to deal with on this series, we have no chance of acquiring it. I honestly don't know how Atlus did it before, perhaps they can do it again...
The original GBA games that Atlus released were completely original, except for Cybuster and the other one, which had already made it to America, since they were both in the anime Cybuster. That may be how they were able to bring it over, as well as the first DS game, Endless Frontier, which had other game characters in it, so they just had to get the licensing permissions from them. The character I am talking about is KOS-MOS, in that..
There shouldn't be too many licenses when it comes to the OG games. Endless Frontier had a few Namco characters, sure, but that was it. I don't even think Endless Frontier 2 has any cameos/crossovers, aside from characters from other games in the series.
The Cybuster is still a Banpresto original though, so.
actually this game is fully owned by Bandai Namco the whole the thing hence how atlus got this one.
Necrobumping this thread to say that if XSEED ever, ever feels like they could undertake any new Original Generation games in the future, I would love you forever. Though I feel like this would be impossible due to something about Sony only allowing games with a specific amount of dubbed voice acting to be released on their systems?
og saga frontier exceed is a ds game with no anime mechs also ps2 is dead anyways
Only reason I want to play Exceed is because of Axel and Alfimi. D:
Though, what I really want is for somebody to localize the new HD Original Generation game that's supposedly coming out. Apparently Original Generations and Original Generation Gaiden would be impossible due to the PS2's dead-ness, but I can always be hopeful for an OG3 localization. D:
