Bugged Quest in DLC
I browsed the rest of the site looking for the appropriate place to post this. If this isn't it, I'm not quite sure how to go about contacting the XSEED team.
The quest "Judgement of the Disturbers" is bugged and cannot be completed, essentially halting the storyline in Crimson Sister and wasting my $7.99. I realize you localize games and don't necessarily deal with bugs fixes, but as far as I can tell from Acquire's forums there's no mention of this breakdown in the Japanese version. It seems to be a US exclusive problem, which suggests your team should be able to patch a fix in.
The quest halts on 2F when the player tries to use the glyphs to seal up the corners of the floor. Regardless of which corner you start in, the game insists the floor has already been cleared and to move along. If you go to 3F (or any floor thereafter), the quest doesn't trigger because 2F was never completed. Going back to 2F results in the original message, which is in no way helpful.
Seemingly unrelated but perhaps of significance: the locked door in the southeast corner of 2F re-locks itself when the player passes through it, but only when they're on the Judgment quest.
Since the floors must be cleared in order, the glitch on 2F breaks the entire chain. Also as the primary quest of the DLC, having it bug out and ruin 200+ hours I've invested into Wizardry is (and I mean this in the nicest way possible) an outrage.
I'm a fan of what you guys do. I love the games XSEED brings to the US, and I've been very happy with this product so far (up to this quest, of course). But the glitch needs to be addressed. It's all over the GameFAQs forums, and no one's heard one word on whether or not you guys even know about it.
Please respond.

Posted this on the GameFAQs board, and will duplicate it here for your perusal:
Just so you guys know, we DO care about this, but we have not yet been able to duplicate the situation you've described, and it seems our QA house completely missed this as well. Can someone give a detailed, exact account of this bug, step by step, so we can try to confirm it?
As mentioned, we don't have any in-house programmers (which also means bugs you've found in previous titles from us weren't actually FROM us, since even programming for the localized versions of our games is generally handled by the original Japanese developers), so we can't patch this ourselves -- but if Acquire is able to create a patch for the Japanese version of the game, I believe we should be able to offer the same patch for the English version. (No guarantees, but I don't see why we wouldn't!)
I'll make sure we look into this as best as we can, but in the meantime, please do give as much information as you possibly can. The more exact details we can provide to Acquire, the easier it will be for us to ask them for their assistance in fixing the problem.
Thanks, and sorry for any inconvenience you guys are experiencing!

I'm in a similar position, stuck on level 2 of the quests and nothing pops up for level 3. I think on level 3 or possibly 4 i got a "the rune reacts differently message" and used it which led me to a fight. Now i've gone thru levels 1-4 again with no luck, i only get messages on level 1 and 2 for the quest.
Right now the DLC is dead in the water, which is disappointing.

Don't recall who, but someone figured out repeating the Cursed Weapon quest for Ironhand bypasses the glitch. Turning in reagents or grim circlets did not work. I haven't been able to replicate the bug since.
The only common thread I see between the people that experienced the glitch were they all explored large sections (if not the entirety) of the Red Shadow dungeon before accepting the Judgment of the Disturbers quest. Since the quest requires the player to move through the floors in order, mapping them out or flipping all the gate switches ahead of time presumably confuses the game. Floor #2 is the first in the chain with a prerequisite floor (#1) so I suspect that's why the bug manifests there.
At least that's the working theory. >_>
Mapping / flipping switches carries over between characters, so if it bugs for one of them it's bugged for all of them. The upside is bypassing the glitch with Ironhand also seems to carry over to other party leaders.
I still have no idea why the door in the southeast corner of 2F locks itself when the player passes through it. Only happens when the quest is glitched. It's creepy but otherwise harmless. There's not much documentation out there, so I'm assuming locked doors are intended to remain open once picked. If they intentionally lock themselves again after a period of time, just ignore this paragraph.
The workaround may be convoluted but it's reliable, so a patch might not be necessary as long as information is readily available on "fixing" the quest. Speaking of which, was the build of the US release based on the current Japanese version or something older? I'm curious if we got Acquire's bug fixes or not.

No, it's very much the same as the Japanese build.
Still no word on a fix or anything, but I'm glad people have found a workaround, at least. Sorry for any trouble you guys are having!

When you get to level 3 the glyph spots are no longer in the corners .Try rooms that are 3x3 and are warp protected. You will also have to go down some stairs then back up to finish floor.Hence over exploreing should not be a problem since you need to travel multipul levels just to finish floor 3.
