Talk to Buzz at the counter in the guild. It'll set off a chain of events that eventually unlocks access to the third dungeon. From the dialogue it sounds like there's a minimum level requirement, though. I haven't tested going in with a very low party yet. I figure anyone in the 30-40 range should do fine on the first few floors.
EDIT: I'm not sure if this is the appropriate thread to mention this in, but I found two distinct errors in the new DLC localization. An unidentified Magic Shield now displays as ?ARMOR. I could've sworn it there were ?SHIELD items out there. Not sure if it's a bug or if I'm being an idiot.
Additionally I started running into Spit Erasers on Depths 3F and couldn't stop laughing. Would it be possible to patch in "Spirit Eater" or "Spirit Eraser" as their English name instead? I realize both are phonetically acceptable from the original Japanese text, but a cat that eats dries out your mouth is ... well, icky. Not sure what the ESRB would even have to say about that one. o_0

With all the random complains I've heard about Lost Souls, you could always go play Forsaken Lands again on a HD TV, squint really bad and pretend it's a PSN download. >_> To add to the realism you could paint a larget "-9" on a gray bathrobe and wear it while playing. It'll be just like being in Shiin's Labyrinth. Trust me. But you're not allowed to wear a Grim Circlet (or any other black headwear) while pretending to play, because despite rumors to the contrary, these items do not exist.
I'm sure one day when you get to play the game that might be funny. Or not, but by then I'll have forgotten and won't care.
And the puppy will be safe, which is what matters in the long run.
Bought it. Looking forward to jumping into the new DLC more this weekend.
