    Kara no Kyoukai - the Garden of Sinners

    Because I'm bored and totally felt like making a thread for an anime I haven't even seen. Has anybody watched this series? I really want to, but considering there's literally no legal way to do so aside from renting them off of PSN in SD for some stupid reason, I'm kind of putting it off.

    Regardless, yeah. Thoughts/opinions about the series, raging at Aniplex for their horrible marketing stuff, etc.?

    Watched it some time ago. It is definitely worth a watch, either illegal but even better legal (As long as you are ready to pay about 400 Bucks for all Blu-Rays.). As a big Type-Moon Nerd and Fan I really liked the Movie Series. The Animations are neat, the story is good and the battles (Especially Movie 5: Mujin Rasen) are awesome. It is comparable to Tsukihime since both Protagonists, beside sharing the same Name have the same Ability. You will also see the sister of Aoko (even when she is altered to look more familiar to her). So bottomline, I recommend you to watch it if you are into Nasuverse stuff and like Tsukihime a lot

    Actually, I think the Blu-Rays are sold out, meaning there's literally no legal way to watch them in HD. D:

    (not like I'd pay 400 dollars for it anyways. Still though)

    Ah okay, the only other option is to buy the DVD's. I have one from the First Movie and the quality is quite good too. It is not really a MUST to have the Hi-Def Version of them since they look on DVD just almost as good as on Blu-Ray ^^

    I like Kara no Kyoukai, it kinda like Tsukihime. Aniplex shouldn't only sold in america the Blu-ray BOX, it's VERY expensive and some people doesn't have money or doesn't want to spend $400. I liked the movies, the story is great and the quality is good. I only have the limited edition of the novels (2004) and I'm planing to buy the DVDs.

    I haven't seen it. I wanted to buy the movies, but $400 was just too much.

    I'm curious about the story, but I have a love/hate relationship with Nasu's writing. Mostly hate.

    I don't have a problem with Nasu's writing... as long as I ignore the sex scenes. Seriously, Nasu's sex scenes are some of the most godawful things ever.

    Dont need to worry here. It does have not such a strong point in Relationship. Near the end, it approaches more the focus on the relationship, but that is not the main aspect of this series.

    @Peytral:

    The Scenes in FSN were cheesy indeed, but most of the Ero Scenes in Tsukihime were...endurable at least I really loved the Akiha and Kohaku Route on Tsukihime. They were freaking glorious ! ^^

    I wish Del Rey would finally start to release the Novels... They just keep the license for nothing, like Seven Seas does with Zero no Tsukaima <.<

    @ conurebleu:

    As long as you have the money to get them or already bought them Kaze (Our Publishers here in Germany) are just too lazy to release them on BD's :P
