    ノーラと刻の工房, 霧の森の魔女

ノーラと刻の工房, 霧の森の魔女 // Noora to toki no koubou, kiri no mori no majo // Noora and the Time Studio: Witch of the Mist Forest

Name : Noora and the Time Studio: Witch of the Fog/Mist Forest | It's been spelled Nora everywhere else, but Noora appears as on the official site (and it's a cute spelling).
    Developer : Atlus
    Genre : RPG
    Release Date : July 21, 2011
    Platform : DS

    Official Sites :
    Website | Blog

The game is being developed by Atlus, but Shinichi Yoshiike, who has worked on the Atelier series, is the scenario writer and the planner for the game. Shigeo Komori, director of Etrian Odyssey, is the producer. Etrian Odyssey's character designer, Yuji Himukai, is also along for the ride as character designer here. The composer of the game is Michiko Naruke (and the music does sound fabulous and charming so far).

Apparently, the game has some similarities to the Atelier series in the way it uses quests and gathering materials (for a process similar to alchemy?). However, Noora/Nora uses time, hence the name. Items are used with the Chrono Solution to accelerate or reverse time on them (i.e. a flower withering or becoming seeds again).
However, new items can also be created with Noora's use of time.

The game has a really nice art style, cute graphics, a fun looking battle system and nice use of time. And the cast of characters looks great (and the seiyuu are quite impressive).

Here's the first and second PV.

I know the game isn't out yet, and there's a chance that Atlus themselves might localize it, but just in case, I wanted to mention it here~. (That is, if I'm allowed to.)

    * Am I not allowed to edit the title? My bad about that...

@ reyvard : Isn't it~? It's a lot to look forward to. And especially having a great dev team!

    @ Adrian-kun : Lol, I meant to keep the Japanese title there as a placeholder and for me to copypasta in the thread while I grabbed other stuff, but I forgot to replace it. x'D;

I'd absolutely LOVE to have Nora localized, as I'm a huge Atelier fan! This game was obviously inspired/created in tandem with someone from GUST, and I'd of course, love to see it on our shores.

Of course, Atlus owns the IP for this one, so they're probably more likely to pick it up than anyone else, (except maybe NISA, but yeah) but I'll show my support here regardless! There's always a slight chance I guess. :P

Some people from GUST are indeed working on Nora~!

And yeah, I'm thinking Atlus would localize it, but I don't know what to expect. If they don't, I hope Xseed does at least. (Although, does NISA still use JP and EN language options when they localize? Cuz I mean, if they do...~)

Whaaa? That stuff comes with the game if you buy it? I wonder if it's still available because that stuff is veeeeryy appealing to me. And I didn't think there were any bonuses that came with the game...

GaijinMonogatari of JAPANDEMONIUM fame has reviewed Nora's Studio and the results are quite pleasant:

This game looks and sounds FANTASTIC. I know Atlus probably has first dibs, but if they pass, I really hope it gets picked up by somebody else (like XSEED). It always seems that a lot of good games come out at the end of a systems life, which really sucks if it needs to be localized.
