Not preordering until I know if there's some sort of LE/premium release. I'm on this game but will see what happens first.

Extremely happy this is making it over here, thank you XSEED for yet another awesome localization choice! My first pre-order is placed, and I'm sure I'll end up placing several more before its release.

I am kind of curious though, in the Siliconera post it mentioned you guys were "basing" the localization off NOE's version, what exactly does that mean? Annnnnd might you possibly be able to super sneakily steal their Xenoblade localization as well for a US release...?

Sounds like they're paying them for the rights to use it and maybe making a few tweaks for our American English? That'd mean a higher licensing fee but obviously a whole lot less time (and money) localizing it too. I'm kind of hoping that Xenoblade and any other potential NoE RPG release (where NoA drops the ball) may turn out similarly, but we'll see...

Just as with any other game where we receive outside assistance for localization (Ys Felghana and Chronicles, and Trails in the Sky, for example), we always make a point of editing the text in-house before publishing, to ensure that everything is up to usual XSEED standards (or whatever the closest equivalent we can manage in the time provided may be).

Solatorobo is no different. Fortunately, the European translation is overall really good, so our edits will likely be pretty minimal.

As for Xenoblade... don't we wish! That game looks amazing! But methinks it wouldn't come cheap (if it came at all!).

Probably won't stop us from trying... but I wouldn't hold my breath.

    Gotcha, thanks for the explanation.

Figured as much with Xenoblade, but good luck with any possible wooing/coaxing!

Joined this forum just because of Solatorobo. Also hoping for a Limited Edition to come out in the US both with the artbook and prelude disc.
