    Why is...

Ark of Napishtim so much harder than any other game in the series? Seriously. To me, Oath in Felghana on Nightmare was a cakewalk compared to Napishtim on Normal. Mostly due to the fact that YOU CAN'T DAMAGE HALF OF THE ENEMIES AND DUNGEONS SPREAD CHECKPOINTS SO FAR APART.

It's ridiculous. I think I've spent 30+ minutes in the Ruins of Amnesia and have made literally no progress.

EDIT: Okay, maybe I just really, really, really hate the Ruins of Amnesia. Like, "one of the worst dungeons ever" hate.

That dungeon is the worst in the game. I thought that the game balance was pretty out of whack in general because you could be in one screen and be obliterating enemies but wander a few screens over and OMG INSTANT DEATH. However, it's offset by the fact that you can grind to be the most powerful Adol in the series...if you can do dash jump. *Shakes fist*

... And what is dash jump anyways? I couldn't even figure out how to dash.

Yeah I was disapointed for that (no time attack)
I remember that stupid jump.... I kept falling over and over again! Then after I finally succeded! => game over. I hated that dungeon But the music was addictive.

I think that Oath in Felghana is WAY harder then Naphistim. I do not remember being completely overwhelmed by a boss so many times

And darned I missed 3 a complete equipement set, and an accessories (just before the 60 000 gold necklace) never found it Y_Y
Games finished in 2013 : Thearythm FF - Pokémon B2 - Tales of Graces F - Miles Edgeworth Investigations - Fire Emblem Awakening - Spirit Camera - Hakuoki - FFVIII - Ar Tonelico II - Riviera

Still looking for Kid Icarus Cards! If you got any that you don't want anymore, they'll get some awsome love!

I would actually agree with conurebleu here. At least on normal, I got through Ark of Napishtim without that much difficulty (relatively speaking), whereas Oath in Felghana "Hard" completely shut me down on a couple of occasions. I'm looking at you Chester v2 and Galbalan. XD

For me, I would say that Oath in Felghana Hard is about equivalent to Ark Of Napishtim normal, but with the normal bosses of Napishtim being slightly more difficult and the final boss of Oath being much harder than anything else.

I think us normal mode players would probably agree that the optional superbosses are just ridiculous whichever game we're playing.

Pfft, Galbalan isn't that hard once you get his pattern down. He's insanely fun on Inferno. :3

the original galbalan on napishtim is easy but but when he send you his dragon who can inflict you all the bad status especially in hard or nightmare you say DAMN
like I only payed ys 7 seven I can't if it's the case for other ys but in napishtim you can't damage some enemies or other bosses or even bosses especially in hard and nightmare unless you upgrade a lot your swords and it require a certain amount of time !!!
