If they're not doing it, why not let other companies do it? I always asked myself that with Tales and Namco.

Like I said elsewhere, I'm really glad they at least said it's not coming rather than leaving it in question (but saying something specific sooner would have been nice).

Disappointing that they have given up on the franchise in the west though. If they were willing to sacrifice western sales just to get a minimal amount of additional domestic sales, I don't see why they would suddenly bring it back in the west with a future installment. I think it's safe to say the third game was put on PSP with complete disregard to VC2's localization and western sales.

If more games continue the shift to digital release (although honestly I prefer to own physical copies of things I buy) the risks involved in localizing titles like Valkyria Chronicles 3 or many of the others listed here would decrease since a lot of overhead would vanish (physical copies, manuals, cases, warehouses, retailer cuts, etc). Already the idea has begun taking shape with the PSP, and with the Vita it seems the digital versions of games will even cost less to consumers. In that way developers may finally decide it makes financial sense to fully distribute titles they consider "niche". It's about the only positive I see that could come out of a digital distribution revolution in console gaming (I'm not a fan of developers exercising excessive control such as Online Passes, and the fact remains that you never REALLY own anything in digital form any longer than the service that provides it lasts), but it's a BIG positive.

Well Xseed, I really hope you can get in contact with SEGA about this and arange something.

Call me a purist or somthing, but I like to play games on platforms they first were intended to, such as Twilight Princess for the GC instead of the Wii.

I'd be cool if you guys made in a PSN release for both the PSP and the Vita.
