Yup. Oh well, at least this could be a sleeper hit for the 3DS and XSEED on the West.

    Edit: Emphasis on could.

I've read a little about this game, but haven't really known how it plays, so I checked out a video to see.

Note: Skip to 0:40 for gameplay

It doesn't seem bad to me. It's your standard 2.5D action fighting game, complete with flashy attacks and special moves. Some of the special moves do seem a bit ridiculous (don't see how her changing into her bathing suit and back has anything to do with fighting), but I guess that's it "thing."

However, it would probably not even register for most consumers of video games that XSEED published the game ("Uuuhh, doesn't Nintendo make all DS games?"), because the actual publisher-title connection is often tenuous when it comes to mindshare. And, despite the fact that games some people may dislike may come from publishers of games those same people do like, they generally don't stop buying those publishers' games just for that reason. I didn't notice anyone deciding never to buy a Metal Gear Solid game again just because Konami announced plans to bring Otomedius over. And does any Assassin's Creed fan really swear off Ubisoft because of Just Dance? People have a variety of reasons for being disgusted with a variety of games, but the number of consumers who would actually change their publisher buying behavior just for those reasons is pretty small.

Anyway, Tom, I'll get to work fixing the gameplay of Custer's Revenge for next week's presentation at your office. ;P

I am more concerned about the fact that the recent fallout involving Rainfall will only serve as another source of flames for the many fans who wanted good Japanese Games come overseas. Senran Kagura from a glance felt like something that will serve as counterproductive to the Japanese Game movement. It is in every sense a PR nightmare for the game review industry as it has almost everything the big game reviewers hate about Japanese Gaming (The perverted fanservice, the lack of manly male heroes and being a beat them up which has been a source of hate from IGN and Gamespot) and if it does become localized, I can see the potential fallout involving it from both sides.

To sum it up: The diehard JRPG/Rainfall members will not be pleased with what they feel is trash coming over, the professional reviews (aka the ones who detirmines if your game sells or not) will slam it for bringing their worst fears to american shores.

Let them cry then. Xseed has done more than enough for those stuffy folks. This has the guy behind Half Minute Hero, and the guy behind the story for Okamiden. And from all the opinions I've read so far, none of them have been negative.

I'm a diehard rpg fan and a member of Op Rainfall, and I'd love to see this game come over. Besides the fact that no one but NOA can take care of the issues surrounding Rainfall, I don't see how that even relates to this.

Lol, I was curious and went to look at the Gamespot threads. They're talking about you, Tom. Are your ears burning?

But like I said before, anywhere I've gone and read impressions from people who've actually played the game (neogaf, gamefaqs, gamespot), they've all seemed to enjoy it, even the story (which is probably a given considering the writer).

Man, I'm even liking the music from what I've heard on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLHv9...eature=related

After browsing the character themes, I can second 100% that the music is great. Not to mention mai waifu has one of the best themes—

    I mean what?

Why is everyone so obsessed with this game? 124 replies and 2,942 views? I know that everyone likes TITS (see what I did there?), but there are better games out there.

I love how Adrian is welcome to his opinion, but I was raining on the parade others for stating mine. Epic logic up in here.
