This was posted before, plenty of game play within

I would say if you're like me and grew up playing Double Dragon or Streets of Rage type games the game play looks like great deal of fun for a genre that is largely ignored (well, besides Koei and its 20 or so Dynasty Warrior titles and spin offs).

I was talking about Unchained Blades, Teddie, not Senran Kagura.

Like the shows Rosario Vampire and High School Of The Dead. They're both loaded with fanservice and not exactly the best anime to watch or take seriously. Then there's games like Hyper Dimension Neptunia and Ar Tonelico 3. Those games as said is fanservicey but delivers nothing fun or interesting.

So seeing how we've been getting lots of mediocre fanservice anime and video games throughout recent years, I can totally see why they'd feel that way. TBH I never played a good game with fanservice or watched a good anime with fanservice.

Well, it's for that reason that I want this game to come over so badly. There's a negative stigma attached to fanservice media in general due to the fact that many games and shows substitute service for quality, but that doesn't need to be the case. The only way to dispel that stigma is for more games to feature both fanservice and good content, like Bayonetta from a few years back.

Incidentally it's also why I'm interested in the Neptunia series, since gameplay-wise the first game was typical trading fanservice for quality, then the second game added and tweaked a lot to make the game a passable game at least, and the third appears to be refining much of the second game's weakest parts - that is, I'm interested because it seems like they're dedicated to eventually crafting a game that can utilize fanservice and still be a good game.

As for SK's gameplay as I understand it starts off super easy and ramps up significantly in difficulty as you play, or that's the impression I got comparing a player fighting mook enemies in early-game battles and an endgame one.

Has XSeed exhibited this tendency in the past?
Not as far as I'm aware. For instance, just cause Corpse Party has done well, it hasn't lead to us getting any other stuff from 5pb such as Stein's Gate.

Edit: As an aside, I didn't think HDN Mk 2 was very good. Sure they improved the battle stuff, but at the cost of all the humor that made the first game popular enough to bring us the 2nd one.

This, and even Tom (or someone in charged of XSEED's PR) even stated that it ended up opening a channel of communication with 5pb by being the first US publisher to have a deal with them, and that there could be more 5pb stuff coming.

It was still only a "passable" game in the end but as a game it received significant improvements, which they appear to be continuing to work on for the third installment, was my point. Contrast to a game like the DoA Xtreme games, where the only purpose each time is to shove boobs in your face and disguise it as a game with generally unfun minigames.

I still thought it was pretty funny, though I wasn't a big fan of Nepgear. She wasn't that funny at all.

I remember watching this when the first game came out. But, I'm keeping in mind that Senran Kagura Burst has also added in a number of things and improved a number of other things. So, it all won't be exactly the same, but have many of the samethings.

Just registered for these forums just to say I would buy a 3DS XL if only you localized Senran Kagura Burst. No lie.

The core mechanics will be there, but yes likely some tweaks for the better. I was fine with the original title, so to include it and a sequel with improvements? Hence my excitement for Burst.
