The fan-service in this game seems like it's on the same tier as DoA (but in anime form; DoA focuses on real-looking chicks), at least to me. Senran Kagura's pre-release advertisements were just more prominent/outgoing about it.

Wonder how (if it does make it over here ) it would be advertised , I know most games like this woud probably get ad in Mags such a Nintendo Power,EGM & Otaku USA , but i would suppose that sums up most of the advertising for an American Localization
Outside of gaming magazines and stuff, I usually don't see ads at all for games that aren't first-party. SK was promoted like crazy in Japan, though.
Speaking of, SK isn't the first game to come with suggestive pillow covers, is it? <_< Even BlazBlue is getting in on that action to promote CS: Extend.
Currently Playing: Fire Emblem: Awakening, Digimon Adventure, Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed
Games Beaten in 2013: 9: Retro Game Challenge, Corpse Party 2U, Code of Princess, Dark Souls, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Atelier Meruru, Yakuza: Dead Souls, Liberation Maiden, Dr Who: The Eternity Clock
Heh. Japan so crazy. Awesome, but crazy.
btw, if you've been following SK localization news, you probably know about these already, but here's some more support.

Hey Tom, have XSEED contacted Marvelous already regarding Senran Kagura? Just curious.
Hey Tom, have you gotten a chance to play any of the Japanese 3DS games yet? Not that there is much I'm interested in aside from SK out yet, but the horizon is looking pretty interesting.
