    Psp - King's field addition 1&2

It a dungeon crawler with what u do affecting the game aka like attacking and killing neutral people within the dungeon. A cool feature is transferring your save from 1 to 2 and the stuff u did in 1 changes what happens in 2. If you wanted too you can play them individually. The mechanics of the king field series were left in tact but it not an fps style aka 1-4 (1 only came out in Japan, 2 & 3 were statewide 1 & 2 for psx, and 4 was for ps2). I'm not too sure the purpose of it but you can gamble in town. Software was the publisher in Japan and it came out bout 5 years ago.

King's field is such a niche game these days (even by XSEED standards), and yes it's 5 years old so it may be a little late now.
I don't care about story in video games, I just want to shoot stuff

    currently playing : Who Gives A **** ? (PS3)/Nobody Cares (PS2)

Well, they ARE doing Trails in the Sky. And Wizardry, too. I don't see why they wouldn't consider this either.

Trails is niche game too I agree, but nothing like the King's Field niche. Trails is a classic RPG-type of game that will appeal to more people than a very slow paced dungeon crawler. As for Wizardry, which is indeed more like King's Field in terms of audience, it's not even 2 years old and the PS3 currently has a great momentum so I guess it helps. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Additionnal 1&2 translated in english, I just think it's very unlikely at this point.

If you've ever seen both KF games on the PSP, you'll know the games didn't quite turn out as good as they could have been (the frame rate and draw in are shocking to the point of distraction). So even if they were to be localized, it would have been a tough sell to the more jaded folks who go "by today's standards" all over every game (as if every game HAS to be better than the last one they played).

I actually wish the mighty excellent Shadow Tower Abyss was ported to the PSP, as THAT would be a better (and older, although it still looks great to me) choice. That's one of the more unique games From whipped out for the PS2 (and like the KF series, you can see where Demon's Souls evolved from as you play through it).

On the other hand, there WAS a Wizardry game released for the PSP (Wizardry Empire III), but the chances of that being localized are slim, as it's a port of the third part of a series that started on the Game Boy Color and moved to the PS and PS2...

Oh, Sandpeelin... it's FROM Software (that's the company name also spelled as one word in some places -FROMSOFTWARE- to avoid confusion)...

You know, the worst part was that Sony had planned to localize Shadow Tower Abyss way back when but dropped it. I'm still kinda surprised by that.

P_A - It might be a case of Goemon Syndrome (as in what happened to Working Design's localized version of Koanmi's PS2 Goemon title - I can STILL remember playing a bit of the US version at an E3 and being happy it was coming out... next thing you know *snip!* it's not... That was pretty annoying news to hear). Although, I have no idea if any localization work on Abyss was ever done (and if so, how far along it got)...

Yeah, it'd be nice to see these brought over. I don't have much hope for it actually happening though. I've seen them on the HK PSN and if they were only Chinese w/ English I would have snapped them up - but they're Japanese versions only.

They could bundle 1&2 together and give it a Demon's Souls like rebranding. At least it would have a bit more value and a shiny new appeal.

Any idea how much text are in these games? Looked light from what I've seen, which is a good thing for translation.
