    Question Alignment change?

Anyone know if it's possible in this game? In some of the other games you could use friendly monster groups to switch alignments, but I haven't found any in this game yet. I'll admit I've still only got my toe in the water, so to speak.

Just a guess but I would say yes. This plays just like the older Wizardry games and alignment was important. I have not had a change yet myself but I believe that may be the only way to get an evil Ninja if you want to start with characters that can only be good.

Quoting Feynman from Hardcore Gaming 101, since he summarized this very succinctly:

Your alignment can alter depending on your actions in battle. When a group of enemies appears and you get the choice to attack, watch, or leave attacking will shift you towards evil, leaving will shift you towards good, and watching will have no impact on your alignment.

That's a good advice. I'm a grind freak, but I'll try to keep leaving so I can be good in no time and make a Lord.

Ah, so it works the same as in other Wizardry games.

A pro-tip: to get the trophy that requires you to register one of every class available, you have to create two characters from different alignments: Lord and Ninja. I've started with a Ninja (Evil), and after leaving a few battles (when there's the option to battle, watch and leave), my Ninja turned to Neutral and then I was able to create a Lord.

there's another way to have a ninja (or a lord if you'r evil) in your group straight at the start:
create a ninja/lord as a main character. go in the dungeon, save, return to title.
create another main with his team, leave a space in your party, go in the dungeon where you left the ninja/lord, and use the command "search for allies". voil?†...
you can always level they alignment afterwards.

It's far easier to change alignment in Shiin than Trials, btw. Especially down in Shiin 8ish, where you fight Gold Dragons. Gold Dragons are always friendly encounters, meaning you can always select whatever alignment you want off them. Much higher chance of people cowering et all in Shiin, too.

Also, I find there are a lot of aligned groups on Level 4 of Shiin's dungeon too. All the Neutral members of my party turned good when I left the wandering groups of fighters there alone.
