You know, seeing that store just reminded me of something. Back before the release of Ys Chronicles, I recall XSEED offering some of the items from the LEs of the earlier games to people who pre-ordered Ys Chronicles.
I remember that this offer was not available to Canada, but XSEED posted something about them doing something for their Canadian audience on their Facebook account. Does anyone know what came of that?

Why does California alone have added sales tax, unless I read that wrong?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's how most online stores work. If you live in the same state then sales tax is added.

Oh, well, that makes sense I suppose. I am not upset about it, or anything like that, it just seemed odd to me. :3 But now I know more or less. Thank you.
Now, it is time to search the couches (again) for money to possibly get this, and/or Fragile. At least what I inteded to get in October was pushed back. :3
With my shopping experience, this is how it works. Even if you buy something off a shop on eBay, it counts :/ It's one way to collect tax on online retails, basically.
Every state has slightly different policies, but companies dealing with sales taxes in the state with a physical presence collect sales tax of said state (there are some exceptions though). Because it isn't logistically possible for XSEED (or whatever other company) to collect the state taxes in all the other states and abide with the varying laws in each, consumers are supposed to be reporting/paying all those sales taxes not rendered upon sale on their yearly taxes, which I'm sure we all do...
Even if they don't ships to Canada, I think I'm okay since I found a used Copy on Amazon.ca for only 30$ The condition is "Good" So it should be okay I should probably get it around the Oct 12 2011 - Oct 27 2011 the waiting will be Long of course, but at least I will be able to play.
I will also look from time to time Amazon.ca again to see if any of these New Copy of the game get on sales and if I see any I shall buy one just to have a New Copy myself. =P
