I was looking on Amazon for this game, and they don't sell it directly anymore; it's only available from marketplace sellers. Apparently it's become quite rare, and all the copies I've seen are really expensive. I wouldn't mind paying full price for a new copy, but even used copies seem to be going for at least $40. Are there plans for a reprint? Or is there a way to buy the game directly from XSeed (I don't think I've ever seen a store on the main page)?
It would be nice if they could produce more copies. A friend of mine wants a copy after trying my copy, but anywhere it is available, it costs around $50 USD pre-owned and they don't want to spend that much money on it. I don't want to lend it to them either, since they might not give it back, or they might damage the disc, as they have in the past. I don't want to spend that much on it either, since the cheapest NEW copy I found was around $75 USD.
You should check around, especially with the smaller stores. One of the local reselling shops around here had it for $25 used in December, and I'm pretty sure the Gamestop in the area had it for the same price. I have never seen it going for the prices you describe...but it's a scary thought if all of that suddenly changed since I last saw a cpoy.
Gamestop has it for $27.99, but I never buy anything from the internet (it is too insecure no matter what anyone says or thinks), and they didn't have it available online for awhile now. Also, the nearest gamestop to me that has it is at least 50 miles away.Originally Posted by ClaudeLv250

For right now, yeah, hunting smaller stores is probably your best bet. Unless it's like around here and they're pretty much few and far inbetween. =\
I'd check in the small towns. My town is pretty small and I'm pretty sure they have a copy there.
We haven't shipped any new units since about October of last year when we ran out, but realize that copies are still in demand as the used prices are getting pretty ridiculous. We're doing what we can to try to manufacture more units so that we can offer shiny new copies at $19.99 again, so please hang in there a little while longer and don't give in to buying used copies for way more than what we will be offering new copies for.
Now if only I wasn't so angry all the time and can stay calm long enough to talk the powers that be into doing a reprint...
That would be awesome. I'd definitely buy it if I saw one new for $20; I wouldn't even think of buying one right now at the ridiculous prices people are selling them for. I'll have to keep my eye out.
The very day my local store had it in town, I was shocked to find that was the only Gamestop that had it. And it had one copy. As in, they only ordered one. I'm not in a necessarily small area, and there was a measly copy because of their thing with only ordering many copies of games that are anticipated or something. I've never seen it, since, in a store. I hope there won't be any trouble for people just getting into the series.
