Reprint?

We haven't shipped any new units since about October of last year when we ran out, but realize that copies are still in demand as the used prices are getting pretty ridiculous. We're doing what we can to try to manufacture more units so that we can offer shiny new copies at $19.99 again, so please hang in there a little while longer and don't give in to buying used copies for way more than what we will be offering new copies for.

Now if only I wasn't so angry all the time and can stay calm long enough to talk the powers that be into doing a reprint...

I would've bet my life that I had at least one extra sealed copy of Rune Factory, but after looking all morning I cannot seem to find it anywhere... This needs to get reprinted so I can hoard multiple copies.

Well with Oceans [aka Tides of Destiny] coming out this fall, I think a reprint of Frontier would be a good idea.

Actually, it wouldn't. Prices on game tend to increase to over-inflated prices as time passes, limited quantities are available, there is still a high demand for the game, and the game is out-of-print. $20 would be a very good price for this game, if it was reprinted. Re-prints are issued in order to lower the price of a game that has inflated due to limited quantities and high demand, usually starting at $20 or less.

I'm actually interested to hear as well if there is any news on a possible reprint, I wouldn't mind snagging another copy since my second one up and flew away.

Right now would be the perfect time for a reprint, if one is done at all. The reason is because the new Rune Factory for Wii and PS3 comes out within the next few months. People that don't have Frontier already and have a Wii would definitely be willing to spend $20 on it before Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is released. The main reason that people aren't buying it right now is the minum of $30 on getting it pre-owned, which most people don't think is worth it, at this point. $20 new would definitely get it to sell and possibly to get more people to buy Tides of Destiny, though it is being localized by Natsume, instead.

The cheapest (new) copy that I managed to find in Canada was $150.

Saw this over on XSeed's Facebook regarding a reprint of Frontier...

"Hold on just a bit longer. We will have an announcement within a week, perhaps within days. Don't pay those ridiculous prices for a used copy."
