The most I spent was about $290 on The IDOLM@STER LE. Before that it was Princess Crown for the Saturn, which was a relatively paltry $80.

Sorry Pentavision, I'm not buying the next game.
I was about to pre-order that when it was announced. I guess I should be glad that I didn't. :l
If there were no (developer/publisher) to complain about, we would need to invent it.

    Wii U ID - Daioujou | 3DS FC - 0559 7548 8384
XBox Live GT | Playstation Network ID | Steam

Yeah, I envy the ones who didn't buy it :/

Heck, some people I know bought the regular edition copy, and even they were feeling heavy buyer's remorse. If I can go back in time, I'd just hunt for the older DJ Max Portable LEs.

Probably Tales of Destiny, Tales of Hearts and Tales of Vesperia PS3.

Each one was about 80 bucks including shipping.

Not really a big spender because I don't have that much money, but I might be importing Xillia, and just the standard game alone would cost me $100. If I were to crack and get one of the Special Editions, that'd run me about 160 bucks, at the least. :/

Ebay mistake 80$ for Star Ocean 2 mint beside that mistake

Grandia 50+tx (Psone mint) and Ys seven premium.

I do not remember anything higher than this, I simply cannot spend that much XD I usually wait (unless I know it will become TOO rare like Lost in Shadow or Fragile). But still, got both of them 25$ each new sealed. Most of games I do not go over 20$

I spent 200 bucks on a copy of suikoden 2 and it was most definitely worth it. probably my favorite game after growlanser 2. I bought a ps3 for $400 so i could play VC3 but that was really a multipurpose purchase.

Crazy that they don't just put Suikoden 2 on PSN, isn't it? If people pay around $200 on ebay for it you KNOW it would sell on there for $6 or $10. I haven't played it, but I'll grab it if it ever makes it up there.

And regarding the topic at hand, I don't think I've ever spent a crazy amount of money on a game. Never bought my own games back in the day since I was a kid with no money, and $60 is the most I've spent on anything over the past couple generations.

The only possible exception is if you count the fact I bought my Wii specifically for Smash Bros (I got other games too, but if it weren't for Brawl I probably would have gotten it later or not at all). $250 plus some screw ups and I ended up buying 3 copies of the game. First one I preordered from Gamestop with release day shipping before it was delayed. Forgot about that, and near release something came up and Sears was supposedly shipping copies a week early or something, ordered from them but didn't get it, and couldn't cancel since it was so close to release. Then I was so hyped up for the game that I went and got it at midnight, and a couple days later I get a copy from Sears and Gamestop. Sent one back, and sold the other one to my brother, but I still initially paid $400 for Brawl. And the game wasn't even as good as Melee.

Tell me about it. I was lucky enough to find about DJ max portable when it was first coming out. I managed to snag a pre-order for the first LE box and instantly fell in love with the game. The second LE was even better, so you can imagine how much I was looking forward to the third one. Needless to say I regret picking it up, and what's up with that "autograph" on the box? Mine looks like a plain ol' line.
