Be bold, be bold, but not too bold

XSEED Forum Rules

We're not super serious over here at XSEED, but we do want these forums to be a community where everyone feels welcome. Please treat each other with respect and try not to break too many of the rules. We don't want to ban anybody, but we will if we have to.

1) - Respect your fellow poster

No flaming, trolling, personal attacks, or stalking. Let's try and keep things positive in here, and if you're really ticked about something or need a negative outlet, we have a special section just for that: "I HATE XSEED" <--rants, diatribes and general discontent goes HERE. All Retro Game Challenge 2 requests also go HERE.

2) - Piracy

Piracy hurts us (and the industry) in a very personal way and is ban-worthy on this forum. Please feel free to discuss the pros and cons of the subject, but do not post links to torrents or pirate sites or discuss how to pirate games (ours or any others). <--This will result in an INSTA-BAN

3) -Mods & You

XSEED is a small company and fairly informal, especially with our fans. We've set up these forums because a) we like you guys and b) we felt the community was getting big enough to warrant one. Forums can be tricky, especially when it comes to moderating, and we're new at this, so be patient with us (and we will with you). What you can expect is for us to try our best to be fair and reasonable and the rules apply as much to us as to you guys.

So...
• We don't really feel like you guys need a babysitter, so don't break the rules and we won't have to "mod."
• Everyone is tasked with following the rules, even staff. We all must serve the bacon.
• All things related to the hammer of justice come from post content, not the poster (unless there's a user pattern of offensive posts), so please don't take administrative action to you or your posts personally.
4) NO SPOILERS! (without proper warning)
If you want to talk about later game content, plot twists, etc, you must put a <SPOILER> tag within your thread title and not post anything spoilerish as the thread title.

Even better, if you're about to post a spoiler, put it inside
spoiler tags
so it shows up like
this
until other forum members highlight it. (Usage of this functionality is not going to be strictly enforced, but don't be surprised if your message gets edited to add these spoiler tags, should you elect not to use them. And usage of SOME sort of spoiler warning WILL be enforced, so be sure you at least make some kind of effort!)

Bad - The Final Boss is ___'s sister trapped in a Robot Penguin?!

Good - <SPOILERS>Final Boss Discussion<SPOILERS>
Sad - <SPOILERS>The Final Boss is ___'s sister trapped in a Robot Penguin?!<SPOILERS>

5) Stay on topic within threads

Try to avoid hijacking threads. You can always start a new thread if a tangential conversation takes on a life of its own.

6) No Porn
(let's keep everything SFW, okay?)

7) Only ONE account per user

Multiple accounts with the same IP will be deleted, and if it keeps happening, any users in question with the same IP will be banned.

8) No SPAMMY buy/sell threads of any kind.
If you try to peddle DVDs, Viagra or time shares in Vegas you will be banned.

8)
The last rule of XSEED Forum is, you do not talk about XSEED Forum
