    I can't think of any other game that is on both Wii and PS3 out in Japan that is anticipated for North America.

    I hope it's not horrible and that they take their time on it. I hate when they have typos in their games. D;

    It has already been confirmed Natsume is releasing Oceans with a name change "Tides of Destiny" because they showed of partial translated version last month at E3. The guy at the booth claimed "Fall 2011"

    I am happy the game is getting localized but I am not so happy that Natsume is doing it, they are notorious for bad grammar, not beta testing their games and in other cases releasing bugged games that you cannot complete. I found it funny the animals would not follow him like they were suppose to in the demo linked above, and despite having the game targeted for "fall" the voices were still in Japanese. I suppose they haven't rounded up a crowd off the street to voice the characters yet.

    In Rune Factory 3 we had alot of "yes" and "no" being backwards, which has been a Natsume tradition since they entered the market, and your standard typos. The rivals never married the girls or in general even tried for them, because Natsume either edited out their events or bugged it and never bothered to fix it. I remember in Harvest Moon DS you couldn't marry the waitch because the game didn't count dead chickens, Natsume silently updated the cart but didn't offer exchanges to anyone who bought bugged copies.

    And of course in their Wii port of Harvest Moobn Magical Melody they edited out the ability to play as a girl and the controls were crap. Natsume better beta test Oceans [Tides of Destiny] before releasing it, or I am going to be sending them angry emails (again).

    First, Magical Melody for the Wii was localized in Europe and then, Natsume localized their European Version. It was Rising Star theat made the changes to the Wii port of MM. Next, for Rune Factory: ToD, they already said that all they have left to do is a few more line translations and the whole of the voice acting, which will be using the same studio that did the recording for Rune Factory 3. Also, most of the bugs in previous games were intentional, except for the problem with Harvest Moon DS. Natsume only localized the games and only changed some of the programming to get rid of things that they deemed would change the rating of the games to something higher than E for Everyone, like they did with Harvest Moon DS Cute. The "Best Friends" system would have given it a rating of T for Teen, at the very least. In RF 3, most of the backwards yes and no responses were from the opposite speak family and when you and others were communicating with them. I am personally looking forward to the game. I doubt it would be as bad as you seem to think it might be.

    Ok so they didn't do MM, its a good thing that was one of the worst ports ive seen in a long time. However no, I wasn't refering just to the backwards family, I distinctly remember a backwards Yes and No from Gaius when he asked if you had a girlfriend, and you still didn't address why the rivals never marry or do anything for that matter in the English version of RF3. Was that another one of their "edits" to keep an E rating?

    I never said the game was going to be bad, but I am expecting "some" mistakes. I don't think I have ever played a Natsume game where I didn't encounter at least 2 or 3 in casual gameplay (possibly more I didn't notice). If what you said is true and some of these changes were intentional I also worry heavily that there will be "edits" to Oceans to keep their precious E rating.

    I am going to buy the game regardless, I have been buying Harvest Moon games for years. I was happy when Xseed licenced Frontier as I thought it was a much needed break from Natsume's mediocracy. When I heard Natsume had licenced Oceans instead of Xseed I felt a little let down. I mean it causes a few worries of what may or may not be working when the game hits shelves. When I buy a game I want everything that game was suppose to come with, even if they are small things like rivals, chicken counters or a "best friend" system.

    Notice that I said most of the yes and no responses were with the opposite speaks family. I noticed a few, but it wasn't that bad. I also did some research into the japanese version of RF3 and their were no rivals in that version either, so that was Neverland and Marvelous' fault, rather than Natsume's. The E rating is required for Natsume, since they are devoted to making games for the whole FAMILY. I doubt there will really be any game-breaking edits in Tides of Destiny that would be made to keep it at an E rating. I think for this game, they said they didn't change anything except translate the text and start the voice recording, rather than trying to tweak it, because they want to get the game out around the same time as Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns, which is already taking longer since they are releasing a 3DS version, as well.
