I was more interested in how you get to customize each equipment and enemies by switching the codes around. I also like how gift giving worked a little different than they do in Marvelous' other games (Harvest Moon & Rune Factory), where you can't give a person the same gift twice if you just recently gave them one.
No Dine. No Knox. No Fair.

The gift-giving part was interesting. I would've liked it more if it was easier to get mana though. I'd give someone 2 or 3 gifts then have to run out and throw some goblins around before I could give any more. I also liked the inclusion of flowers. I enjoyed how the flowers' meanings corresponded to the characters' personalities.

I really really enjoyed Avalon Code, super unique and did a ton of great things, but there were a few aspects about it that really pissed me off and hindered the experience. I hope it someday gets a sequel and the developers get the chance to fix a few of the major problems with it and make it a truly spectacular game.

Avalon Code is just one of those games that shows great potential, yet lacks impact.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the game, but it was just the end that made me somewhat unhappy, and having to manually look for pieces to make equipment with was also tedious.
One of the things that I enjoyed the most about the game though was the way you could change people through the book. It might appear as morally wrong to do that, but it was without a doubt entertaining.
I really liked all the book spirits as well, they all had an interesting personality and it was fun to interact with them.

I gave up on this game near the very end, the inventory management just got to be too much. But I absolutely loved the mini game where you could juggle any/all enemies in the air, that was by far the best part about the game.

Ha, I emailed XSEED a while back about them maybe having any copies hidden away anywhere because I really want to play this game (but not for $80+ :V); I've heard that it introduces some great concepts that, even with a crappy execution, are worth checking out if nothing else.

Unfortunately the answer was no : , (

I love this game! I was randomly at a game store and the art caught my eye and it was only selling for 10 bucks... best purchase ever.... kind of wish it had been more cause i wanna support the company but then maybe i wouldn't have tried it. but seriously love the style and yeah the game play isn't perfect... and i think i fell through the floor once as a glitch... but still it was so much fun and now i'm really good at slider puzzles which before i was terrible at...

If you just want to play the game, try stalking Gamestop. There's a copy about 10 miles from my house.
