    Smile Avalon Code

The game made for crazy completionists like me!!! In this topic, we discuss all things Avalon Code!

Who are you trying to get in a relationship with? Got any good "recipes" to make using codes? Or just want to talk about how cool Anwar and Ur are? Heheh.

Well, then, I guess is this the thread to be~

Also, I swear, whoever was the voice actor for Elk also was the voice actor for Renpo. Seriously. Please, XSEED, fire me down or confirm my suspicions!

FUN FACT! The character artist/designer for this game is known as HACCAN. HACCAN also made some extra-pretty artwork for Sora no Kiseki and the manic shoot'em up Mushimesama Futari!

This game seriously deserves a sequel. I just wish the dungeons weren't so repetitive, which is really the only complaint I have about the game really. On my first run I went for Fanna since I sort of pitied her. It also seemed like it was the canon choice, now that I think about it. Then on my second run I went for Dorothea even though I kind of hated her attitude. I'm planning on going for the elf girl next (Forgot her name) when I decide to pick the game up again.

I have to admit I never finished Avalon Code. I got to around 15 hours in and I'm sorry but the dungeons really tried my patience to much. Maybe I'll pick it up again and finish it someday. HACCAN? Hmmmm I love the art work to Mushi Futari and actually have the official Cave art book. I'll have to research more of his/her work

I think I'm relying on OCD here, for these dungeons... Thank goodness for OCD!

I was actually thinking of picking this up after I finish trails. Are the dungeons really that bad?

OCD and an obsessiveness with completion is a requirement, it seems. I'M obsessed, at least. Also, I really enjoy fine-tuning the difficulty level of various enemies by changing their stats.

I'm shooting for the day I can have my character have ridiculously high defense with the puniest sword ever- fighting enemies MADE OF SILVER. And other stuff. I'm not far enough to get really crazy with it, yet...

The problem with dungeons is that each room requires an objective you have to meet (Kill all enemies, activate all switches etc). Since most of the dungeon rooms will have the same objective requirements, it gets really repetitive and boring. There's also optional requirements for you to do if you want to score higher points in said dungeon room (Kill stone enemies only, use only fire weapons etc), in which the high scores are sort of necessary because they're needed in order to level up your book.

Yeah I can see how that could get tedious. It still sounds interesting though.

I adored Avalon Code, and I'm glad someone made a thread for it. The graphics were incredible for a DS game, and I loved how weapons and accessories could change your appearance (Mjollnir plus wings ftw). I was also really grateful that I could choose the gender of the MC. To tell you the truth, I never went nuts over Ur and Anwar like other people did. I went for Rempo instead. He was hilarious, and I felt that you got to know him the best.
