I haven't attempted to find out yet. Will do so next play-through.

I meant that I have 5 difficulties left to play-through, achievments-wise. I just like to keep Achievement/Trophy hunting within minimum play-throughs. Not that it means I'm going to stop playing once I get them all (since there's things I like to do on my own, like speed running and such).

If there were no (developer/publisher) to complain about, we would need to invent it.

I'm loving Abyss, but, well....this is dragging on for far too long...

I wish Van, would have just pulled a last boss and powered up and changed into a crazy monster and then it'd be over.

Played Mario Party 9 with a friend tonight and it's really fun. Very different from the previous Mario Parties, and that's a good thing. The formula they've been using for the past eight games has been getting old. Now everyone moves on the board at the same time, and instead of buying one star at a time you compete for mini-stars. Whoever has the most mini-stars at the end of the game wins. Also, there's an actual finish line on the board, and the game ends when you get to the finish line instead of a set amount of turns.

Finished Ys III! The final boss was a pain at first, but once I got its pattern down it actually wasn't too bad. I'd say it's in the middle difficulty-wise of the three Ys games I've played, with Ys I having the most difficult final boss and Ys II having a pathetically easy final boss.

So now that I've finished this version of Ys III, I think I can safely say that I'll probably never touch it again. It was fun for what it was, but it was nowhere near as good as Ys I and II. After playing those games, the whole side-scrolling thing just doesn't work with me for the Ys series. I'm really interested to see what Oath in Felghana does with this game, though. It has a lot of potential for Oath's gameplay style. I'm especially interested to see what they do with the bosses.

Awesome! I played those on my PSP about a year ago and loved every second of them. Good luck when you reach the final boss.

Recently I decided to try and play through the series in release order because I think it will be fun to experience how the gameplay has evolved over the years. I found a translation patch for Ys IV Mask of the Sun, so I'm all set with that one. I've found a patch for Dawn of Ys as well, but the disc is pretty expensive so I don't know if I'll be able to play that one. And I'm going to hit a roadblock when I reach Ys V since it's not translated, but maybe I'll get lucky and it will be by the time I get to it.
