Yep Mist is a top characters but very weak until she rank up...until that Rhys is a better unit, after the rank up no discussion possible Mist is way better.
For the Magic from what I remember Soren is the best magician in the game.
Lucia is good, she has better defence and more hp that other swordsman, but she is not as powerful as Stefan for sure.

@ Shoot that Way: never tried it, I just completed all Fire Emblem who where localized (= not so much sadly...).
F.E. Radiant Dawn was quite tough too.
And yeah you can loose Astrid very quickly, you really have to hurry.

zackk , since the game is so poor in light magic ( compared to sacred stone ) I didn't trained rhys very long and yeah soren was my best magician but I upgraded a lot his fire level , right after there is yliana which become weak in radiant dawn and I didn't use callil
the swordsman weak point is indeed surely their defense but their agility catch up , also put them Stellar and ...

I remember the toughness of radiant dawn ! he is even more strategic than the first

Totally agree about light magic.
About Soren he can also heal after rank up!
And his special techniques when activated do so much damage, a wonderful unit.
Ilyana, I don't use her so much so I can't tell just remember she has lightning attributes that's it ^^

Yeah swordsman have weak defence so you have to really be careful cause sometimes one critic hit and bye bye...but yeah fortunately they have good agility to compensate it.
And they inflict so much critic hit!
love so much them!
(ho and thief is a cool class too specially with Volke, another really good characters).

And Conurebleu don't use too much your XP bonus, you will need it for your new low characters.
(and be patient with Astrid, she's really weak for now but will xp faster with his "Elite" characteristic and be soon so op...).

I leveled up Rolf 4 => 11 (with the Chapter 13 he's now 14)
I leveled up Rhys 9 => 10
I level up Marcia 5 => 10

With that, I was all right, it was almost too easy. It really was my low-level that kept me from winning! Because I was doing it alll ''tacticaly correct'', putting tanks in order to prevent overflooding ennemies, Gettinf Volke to steal all the chests, putting my stronger character in the ennemy boat to kill the crow that stole something...

F.E. Radiant Dawn was quite tough too.

Yep when he will be "Sage" (don't know if it's the right term in the English version) he will be able to use stick and so heal, of course not as good as a "devoted" healer like Rhys but still really convenient sometimes.

Ha forgot about Marcia, she is really weak and hard to train but she will be a top characters too.
And now that you have Rolf at a decent level you will rip off all crows and flying units! (but I should say all units after all...!).

ps: beware Volke had to be lvl 20 before chapter 19 and his rank-up.
otherwise he will not be as good as he should be.

becareful because for the high level unit you use lot of exp point to upgrad them !

It'S okay, I saw that :P

I also saw, that if your unit is low-level, you can win one XP by not giving much at a time. just put one more one more, at one point you'll see that your bonus XP doens't get down so I went with X9 XP or X21, depending. Now I go almost one by one not to lose any precious XP
