I've taken back Fire Emblem from the trash and used my bonus XP to ease everything, now it was too easy.

I forgot that game even had bonus XP. Just don't overuse it. You might need it for all the later low level characters.

Anyways, I just went and played Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 for the first time. Everything was going smoothly and then...BAM. Leaf gets thrown in jail thus, began the hours of frustration...I spent 4 hours trying to get things right and not mess up. First I forgot to give weapons to the prisoners *resets*, second the axe knight dies *resets*, third my thief got kidnapped and lost all his items when I saved him *resets again*. And then lastly...the mage critical hits kill my full HP character.
The stage literally makes you run in a circle to get all the items back and open the cell doors...*rages*
And those lancers keep spawning everywhere and my swords were getting dull and the stupid npc characters keep getting captured. After they stopped spawning, I opened the door to exit the place and it's a room full of armor guys. Wtf? The characters can only use swords! The stupid Axe NPC guys ran away. I was tired of Sword vs Lance, and now a bunch of armor guys(glad I had a light brand and a rapier). So I move all my characters back to the hallways. I was able to pick them off 2 at a time then that stupid mage...
I should have let Leaf tank those armor guys. I thought he was going to die with 16 hp left but nope all the 2-cell attackers missed him and my swords woman gets a 1-hit KO. Yeah, I had the best plan ever. Kill armor guys and steal the magic. Stupid RNG. This game's RNG is ridiculous. I swear I got a lot of single stat level ups.

It seems Fire Emblem is telling me that myrmidons are bound to die if I use or even touch them...
I hate this chapter so much. It forces you to use a bunch fragile sword users. None of them even had over 30 hp, except the unmounted Axe Knight(being unmounted from horses or pegasi forces you to use swords) and Leaf.
Damn you Fin! Why didn't follow the man/boy you were sworn to protect!?

Haha Fire Emblem and rage...and with permanent death even more rage ^^
That's what make this game so fun (at least for me).
You always take 2 minutes before make a move...
And Conurebleu don't use too much your XP bonus, you will need it for your new low characters.
(and be patient with Astrid, she's really weak for now but will xp faster with his "Elite" characteristic and be soon so op...).

Astrid is definitely one of the most useful units you can get. Her chapter starts her off in a vulnerable area before you can recruit her. I thought it was weird that she could die before you reach her. Something about the NPC Soldier getting critical'd and dies to quick or something.

Thracia 776 really has a lot of randomness to it. The chapter before, I was suppose to save 4 children and bring them home safely. But by the time I got to the castle and save them, a horde of bandits spawned and leveled all four of their houses and I was way too far away now to save the houses...(Visiting the houses before hand doesn't close the door obviously) Didn't even see that coming, so I just ignored the four kids and killed the boss.
Though its awesome that you can capture enemies and steal all their items.

I do plan out every move I make. It's just the RNG that screws me over most of the time.
This game's RNG is really annoying compared to the later series. Old games cheat.
I mean I miss 50% of the time with 80+ Hit, which really does not help me whatsoever.

If you love Fire Emblem try out the claimed to be hardest of all the series; Fire Emblem 5: Thracia 776. Though, I heard Shadow Dragon can be just as hard on maximum difficulty.

anyway conurebleu DON'T MISS STEFAN IN THE DESERT CHAPTER !

I remember that mist was also one of the stronger units since she has a huge level in magic and can use it with the magic swords , she teleport the other with some staff , cure all the units around her in one shoot and move far away in the map !
however I hated lucia for being so weak compared to the 3 other swordsman !
