Got to the third boss in No More Heroes PS3, and she's really annoying. I hate bosses where you can only land one or two attacks at a time before they block everything else, especially when those one or two attacks do damage that's barely noticeable. Bosses like that aren't challenging; they're just tedious.

Continuing Sands of Destruction, I do not understand the low 6.2 it got on gamespot. That game is really good! Of course, there are some flaw, but not to give them a lowly 6.2 O_o

Continuing Zone of the enders at of this instant
Games finished in 2013 : Thearythm FF - Pokémon B2 - Tales of Graces F - Miles Edgeworth Investigations - Fire Emblem Awakening - Spirit Camera - Hakuoki - FFVIII - Ar Tonelico II - Riviera

The way I see it is if you're an RPG fan you can usually add 1 or 2 points to a professional review, and that is probably a fair estimate of how an RPG fan would review that same game. So an RPG that gets a 6.2 would probably be closer to a 7 (or possibly even an 8) for an RPG fan. This generally works for any niche game that receives a professional review, regardless of genre.

Anyway, I beat the fourth boss in No More Heroes, and he was definitely my favorite boss battle so far. (Note: When I say fourth boss, I mean the fourth main boss. I'm not including the bosses from NMH2 that were added to the PS3 version in my counting; if I did, the guy I just beat would actually be the sixth boss.)

I'm still working away with Pokemon Ruby... They do get easier once you've played through one of game of that region. Ugh, of course I picked a tough team to train! I had no idea that Slakoth loafed around every second turn. At least I can level Vigoroth easily, and I might wait before I evolve him to Slaking.

A random review program on T.V. gave 6 to Xenoblades XD

He didn'T like it. It's like saying

''I don,t like mushroom so this supper was not good!''

It was good, but not for your taste, HUGE difference!

I have no excuse for taking so long to play Crisis Core, but finally was persuaded to do so by a local sale (I guess the PSP dying is good news in some ways). I just cleared the ending and I'm glad and sad I wasn't spoiled. I mean, having played FF7, I knew approximately what had to happen, but that final battle was amazing. Manly tears were shed.

My only gripe is Genesis. Did we need to have the bad poetry guy in the red coat? I appreciate that they designed a fancy character model already used in Dirge of Cerberus, and wanted to use it, but I think the game would have been better with more Shinra intrigue (Lazard story development please) and less or indeed none of his awful reciting. I suppose his dialogue did give you a good reason to want to kill him at least.

If there was more around the SOLDIER director on the losing side of a political power struggle and Angeal turning traitor out of loyalty and honour to his boss (plus of course his disgust at what was done to his mother), you could have had a similar, but more focused story, character development for the Shinra top brass and an awesome student-mentor final confrontation. Alas, Square-Enix writers.

It was worth it for that fantastic ending anyway. I think Zack is probably the FF protagonist I found the most likeable overall. I hope those 3 Shinra Infantrymen got rewarded with a cushy job guarding Sector 1 train station. I'm sure nothing bad could happen to those brave men with machine guns there.

How they managed to write an awesome character like Zack into such a poorly conceived story, I'll never know. I completely agree and have said the same thing before though - Crisis Core would have been a much better game if they had focused on the stuff going on within Shinra rather than the nonsense with terrible villain Genesis. And of course, less boring, repetitive gameplay.

I'd be fine with giving Xenoblade a 6. Assuming we're talking about a rating scale from 1 to 6.

Thanks to Starwolf_UK on GAF, I've found some awesome resources for that game. Might help me with the rest of my low-level post-game run.

A friend came over and he wanted to see some of the endgame bosses in Tales of Graces. Fought the second dragon, got my BACONBACONBACON kicked. Fought the third dragon, got my BACONBACONBACON handed to me again. Decided to show him a boss I knew I could actually beat, so I went back to the final bosses. The first fight went by with no trouble whatsoever, until the end when I got the boss down to about 1/5 of its HP and it completely destroyed me out of nowhere.
