I'm near the end of Avalon Code on DS. Really near the end! About two or three chapters left. Then I think I might play Kid Icarus, but I don't know..The game will get a Hype and all...
Games finished in 2013 : Thearythm FF - Pokémon B2 - Tales of Graces F - Miles Edgeworth Investigations - Fire Emblem Awakening - Spirit Camera - Hakuoki - FFVIII - Ar Tonelico II - Riviera
Okamiden - Rhythm Thief - Hotel Dusk - FF Echoes of Time - Pandora's tower
Now Playing : Trauma Team - Bioshock - Lunar dragon song

Still looking for Kid Icarus Cards! If you got any that you don't want anymore, they'll get some awsome love!
(Thank you Terro (biiiig thanks!), Dusty and Ivy :-)

In the last episode of FFXIII-2, with 90something fragments and all the Paradox Endings I can see without finishing the main plot. Now to grind Caius into the dirt with my overleveled team!

Also picked up Crisis Core again after 4 months since I'm going through a temporary turn-based strategy burnout. X_x

I finally finished Persona 2 and moved on to Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles. It's been kicking my BACONBACONBACON thus far. >_> I'm wondering if I'll even have the patience to finish it. Aside from that, I've been checking out the new character added to Ougon Musou Kyoku CROSS today.

I've been busy with exams all week so I've only had so much time for games. All of that time was put in to ToTA though so not at all wasted.

For what it's worth I recommend unlocking Symphony of the Night and playing that first. There's a reason it's considered one of the best ps1 games ever and it's very accessible compared to the brutal old school platformer that is Rondo of Blood and its only slightly more friendly Dracula X remake. To my mind, both versions of Rondo are on a par with Demons' Souls in terms of how the difficulty is completely unforgiving but generally fair and learnable. By comparison, you're not going to be seeing game over in Symphony more than a few times per playthrough, depending on if you choose to break the game and if you take on bosses at low levels.

On the remake, are you playing with Maria, may I ask? Getting through Rondo and the remake with just Richter is pretty serious business. It's much easier with her double jump and slide moves. Her attacks are both stronger (with both doves in rapid fire) and much less commital as she can fire and move immediately, with the doves even defeating enemies while flying back to base. Her turtle sub-weapon is incredibly powerful (even blocks almost all boss attacks), to say nothing of her screen wiping item crashes. It's still a tough game with many death traps and health refills few and far between, but I do the think the difference between the characters is enough to possibly convert someone from frustrated to enjoying the challenge.

    Old school motivation:

I unlocked the original Rondo of Blood last night, but haven't found SotN yet; I think it's on the route of Stage 3 I didn't take (by which I mean "couldn't," as I fell into a pit -_- Frickin' Medusa Heads). After making some progress in the remake, I might try to complete it and get the alternate routes before starting SotN. If I ever play the original Rondo of Blood, I'll probably use Maria as much as possible. >_> Speaking of which...

    I haven't used Maria yet out of pride, lol. I'll probably use her when going for the alternate routes/unlockables or if I get stuck somewhere. I wouldn't say I'm getting frustrated, but there have been a few times where I've thought, "Really, guys?" It's certainly more difficult than than the average Metroidvania. I miss having a hitbox above and behind me when I swing my whip, even if it doesn't make a lot of sense. ;_;

I watched that and felt compelled to make this:

Oh yeah, did you see my response to you about Persona 2 a few pages back?

To sum up the upcoming weekend, my gaming plans will consist of:

    - Touch Shiyo ~Love Application~ (Hopefully I'll actually PROGRESS, instead of taking pics with the yPhone)
    - DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu (This game is freaking hard. DaiOuJou is supposed to be harder than this!?)
    - Ys Oath in Felghana (More achievement hunting, since I don't have a lot of Steam achievements and would like a few. :P)

At least, that's the plan. I would LIKE to start up Kid Icarus Uprising, but I'll save it for bus rides, since I'll be commuting all over the place during the week, trying to find a new job. :P
If there were no (developer/publisher) to complain about, we would need to invent it.

XBox Live GT | Playstation Network ID | Steam
