    lily in a pond

    Guess I'll make an introduction!

    I go by many names, least of all Ashen, ashenneko, Riri, Miss Ashen, my real name, that annoying chick in the back... Well, probably not that last one. I'm currently a college junior studying (and failing) Psychology and Digital Media Studies. I don't usually stick around too long on forums, so you should feel honored! ... nah, not really. ... where was I going with this?

    I've been collecting quite a few XSEED releases over the years, the main games being Wild Arms 4/5, Lunar: Silver Star Harmony, and Half-Minute Hero. Honestly haven't tried the Ys games, but I'm very tempted to, since most of the people I know have gushed praises for it. I love the fact that XSEED isn't taking "no" for an answer when it comes to bringing Japanese games to the States, which is a trend that a lot of companies seem to be following these days.

    In my spare time, I play far too many video games for my own good, don't watch as much anime as I should, watch lots and lots of sci-fi television series, and browse far and wide across the expanse of the Interwebs. I own my own website, which doesn't update as often as it should, plus I stream myself playing video games far too much. Favorite game series include Wild Arms, Final Fantasy, and Devil May Cry; favorite anime include Kashimashi, Hourou Musuko, and G Gundam; favorite sci-fi shows are Doctor Who, Babylon 5, Farscape, and Star Trek.

    Hope to get to know each and every one of you!

    Nothing is better than seeing the UNDEFEATED OF THE EAST. Though I do have a soft spot for Allenby. :3

    Top three for me are IX, I, and IV. V is a close fourth, followed by VI and VII. I've actually played every single one of them in a row, so... Not to mention I've done a couple charity single-sitting runs with them (IX and VI being the most recent). It's what I get for them being my first RPG series besides Pok?İmon. :sweat:

    I always liked Allenby more than Rain, so I can relate. :P

    Someday... someday soon, I will marathon it all again. And it will be glorious.

    edit: also echoing that FFIX and V are both awwwwwwwwwesoooome.

    <3 your Rebecca Streisand avatar!
    I was honestly trying to figure out a good avatar that was related to the topic at hand... and Rebecca was the only thing that came to mind! Avril's too cold for my tastes, and people would get the wrong idea with Dean... Could've done Raquel! xD;

    I honestly need to marathon it too. The last time I saw it all the way through was when it was running on Toonami BACK IN THE GOOD OLE DAYS.

    And yes, FFIX and V heaaaaaaaart <3

    I'm still playing through V, only to have it tossed into my mile-long game queue (only thing longer than my book queue!). YS COMPELS ME SO, YOU SEE.... Mmm, IX. Final Fantasy IX seriously needs/deserves more love.

    Awww FFV is so much fun, though! Don't you know? Jokes like what you claim to have a lot of tend to be PUNished in Bal Castle. ;D

    And yes, FFIX does need MUCH more love. I absolutely adore the game. I don't think there's another game I know more about or can play with more authority than it. ... well, other than FF1. Over the winter break, I ended up playing the game in Japanese with a single Warrior and beat it. I don't understand a lick of written Japanese, so it was basically from memory! :sweat:
