Final Fantasy XII is one of my favorite game soundtracks ever. A few of my top tracks:

    Time for a Rest

    Seeking Power

    Desperate Fight

    Second-favorite might be Suikoden Tierkreis:

    The Plain and the Sky

    Victory Pose

    Sally Beacon

    I love that song!

Here are a couple; I've tried to make a bit of a variety in moods:
Rudora no Hihou - Spirit Chaser Surlent (Battle theme):

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - Oliver's awesomely Baroque theme:

Chrono Cross, one of the most beautiful world map themes:

I can't stop listening to this.

Mega Man X has a soundtrack arranged by Alph Lyra (in-house Capcom musicians, I believe) into a 80s fusion style. A number of Capcom's soundtracks from the 90s, especially those involving Shinji Hosoe, were arranged or rearranged into a j-a-z-z fusion style. Chick Corea must have been an influence on them.

It's comparatively high profile, but I don't think any topic like this is complete without some mention of Touhou music. So, here's one of my favorite Touhou themes. It's called Necrofantasia (hey, that's my username!).

And here's some dungeon music from the celebrated soundtrack of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon. I played this game back in eighth grade and didn't touch it again until I was a junior. One thing I didn't forget was how awesome its music was.

If a chicken does not break its egg's shell, it will die without being born. We are the chick. The world is our egg. If we do not break the world's shell, we will die without truly being born. Smash the world's shell! For the revolution of the world!

Seriously? Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon and Goemon's Great Adventure are among some of my top favorite N64 games, it's a shame more of the games didn't make it over to the states as they had some fun gameplay and even more fun music
