    I haven't played 4 in awhile but I remember it freezing at some point as well, but 5 did it A LOT and it was a brand new disc, not a mark on it.

    Yeah, thank goodness I had the internet to look that up, such a bizarre bug considering how you fix it. Although it struck once again with another particular cutscene later on, and that was after a boss fight annoyingly. More annoyingly was that my TV didn't support 60Hz, therefore went black & white on me and there's not a save point for quite a while after that, including having to watch all the interim cutscenes without colour.

    It's only if you're running it on the PAL display mode, which is why you've never come across it. Hence the switching to NTSC to be able to progress through certain parts of the game.
