The original one for DS or Overclocked?
If it's the original DS version, then Naoya/ Kaido's route is the hardest, but then there are parts of the game that you really have to grind a little to survive that and you really need the right skills to beat the boss, but pierce + high strength works all the time, unless it's against Lucifer, but that one is optional. My suggestion is to give Arioch Deathbound and pierce and that thing will kill any boss in a snap. There a trick to give any demon any skill you want, you basically need to fuse a demon with another demon of the same family (let's say fairy with fairy), it will give you an element type demon, then if you fuse 2 different element types, it gives you a mitama, once you get that mitama, you can fuse any it to any demon to give them a stat boost plus whatever skills that are on the mitama. I think Orthrus and Cu Chulainn starts with pierce skill. So fuse Cu Chulainn with a low level Genma like Jambavan or Orthrus with like Kabuso and they will give you an element demon with pierce skill on.
