And I take no offense at that, as it is true, more often than not. I hold firm to my assessment. I will always contend that being unwilling to read a few paragraphs of decently-formatted text, or a couple of pages of a forum thread (within reason, mind you; once you reach double digits, it can get rather ridiculous) is more a reflection on the reader than the topic. I am also of the firm conviction that, if one is going to use a language, then one should endeavor to use it properly at all times. I regard SMS-speak and various internet acronyms as lazy and sloppy, and you'll never see me using them outside of an ironic sense. Call me crazy, but the lessons my fourth- and fifth-grade English teachers taught actually stuck with me.
It is said that "time is money," and one can budget them similarly. If you lack the time to read the meager amount of text presented here before interjecting, then what you have to say is, in all likelihood, rushed in equal measure. Make the time and get caught up. No one's asking you to write a compare-and-contrast assignment or anything.
In the end, you'll either read it or you won't. But "TL;DR" never comes off as anything other than snotty and abrasive.
