    Angry SPAM Attack!

I have never seen such a bombardment of tinned meat in all my brief forum-running life! I'll do my best to find some means of preventing them before they can post, but in the meantime try and ignore the temptation (should there be any) to click on those, er, 'enhancement' links. I will ban the fruit out of them as well.

I must say though... the majority have been in the Half-Minute Hero section and that seems fitting somehow.

Half-Minute Spam in the Half-Minute Hero section. Well, deleting the spambots' topic and banning them may not be a Half-Minute Task.

Fry all those SPAMmers up and sell them cheap on a bun outside the Xseed offices. My cholesterol level is maxed out... (keel, THUD!)

Yeah, I found that somehow ironic. I guess that the software was looking for half minute for some reason. Anyway, as mentioned elsewhere, Captcha during registration does a good job at filtering most spammers. It's a minor inconvenience for humans, but it's better than having to delete spambot posts every half hour. :P

Luckily the bots that post several threads per minute haven't showed up, those are the worst.

And Ragnawind's suggestion is probably the best bet, as far as I know bots still have a lot of trouble answering the captcha questions. And not only are they harder for the bots to interpret than the standard letters and numbers, but they are easier for real people to do, since sometimes you get some really messed up captchas. For example, from Steam a couple weeks back:

Chaos, I'm beginning to think I must be a robot or something, if I can't read that steam CAPTCHA....

Ick. I remember dealing with those several threads/posts of nothing but pure nonsense on another forum I'm a staff of. It's never fun and thankfully there hasn't been any sign of them here for now. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to help out =)

And that Captcha function sounds like a pretty good idea at this point if more and more of them come around.
