only thing to me holding that system up is out of the box BC and it does have good games, well in japan anyway.
Sounds like you either got a dud or you must treat it pretty badly or something? I've had mine since day 1 and I carry it in my pocket whenever I go to work, and I haven't had a single problem with it.

i'm waiting to buy the system because of lack of rpgs right now.and it would be a crime for me just to buy a system just for the sake of it but i'm thinking of buying it in February of next year since we by then, should have heard about more games coming for it.

I'm in the same boat, actually. I never owned an original DS so I decided to purchase a 3DS since it could play old DS games and new 3DS games...and now, a year after I bought it, I have one 3DS game (Devil Survivor Overclocked) and 16 DS ones. I'm still extremely happy with my 3DS, but I really hope for some more RPGs in the near future. There's been two games announced for Japan that I've got my eyes on, those being Bravely Default Flying Fairy and Soul Hackers, so let's hope those two get localized (I have a feeling that both will, mainly because of the companies making said games).
