    Gamescom 2012

So tomorrow it will all begin. I thought we should have a topic to discuss things. But since we still need to wait, I will ask, is there anything that you are looking forward to? As for myself, I am hoping to see SOME vita love happening even if that means the announcement of only one game. Other than that I am of course curious to see the current state of the already announced AAA games.

I'm not making any bets on Vita announcements, but I hope at least Killzone Vita will make an appearance.

Rumors say that Black Ops Declassified is making its first appearance to the public. I actually want to see how the game plays. Unfortunately this game will probably be what will make the vita sales either sink or swim during the holidays.

I don't think Assassins Creed III: Liberation or Black Ops Declassified are going to move systems, it takes more than two high-profile games.

They won't do an awful lot I know, but they will definitely make things better than what they are now.. Only a price drop would change things. By the end of the year, the vita will have a bunch of games that justify its purchase ( Gravity Rush, RO, P4G, ACIII, BO.. Sorry if I forgot to mention any other titles). What I am still waiting for though is news on the FF Type-0 English "HD rumored" version.. This game would definitely help, if it even does come to existence.

I don't think there's much of an audience for those types of games on portables anyway. Plus the CoD game is likely going to be terrible given the way it's been hidden to this point.

Sony needs to make announcements and show that they are dedicated to Vita. Not a bunch of B-tier efforts from franchises western games would rather play on their consoles, but defining Vita experiences from first party developers or meaningful partnerships. The closest thing they have to that right now is Soul Sacrifice, but that's not exactly being pushed in a way that's getting attention.

And that's coming from Japan, where the only noteworthy Sony PS Vita games are coming from, like Gravity Rush and Hot Shots Golf.

I am looking forward to ignore Gamescon because things I care for can only come from the usual suspects, thus they are not material to be announced in a big conference.

Do they ever announce North American localizations at Gamescon?

Not really "North American" localizations, but games that are coming to the "West". They're rare, though.
