Love love love summer Olympics. I'm still really bitter about the judging of the US women's gymnastics team in Beijing so I'm pulling hard for revenge this year. I won't be satisfied with anything but gold in the all-around :P

Opening ceremony was awesome, the James Bond skit was so incredibly epic XD The torch is really cool too.

Phelps and Lochte are still hot.

I'm still mad with NBC's Opening Ceremonies edits, after I later found out what they did. Phelps interview > England terrorism tribute, as far as they are concerned, because "it doesn't have to do anything with NBC". Makes me mad how they don't air more of the other events either. If Team America isn't involved, forget it, have to stream that cause it's not tv worthy :/ HATE NBC >_<

Yeah I haven't been watching this years stuff yet because of not having a TV with cable, but last time I did... NBC is just awful. They edit/cut/delay stuff really strangely and talk over everything about complete garbage stuff that is irrelevant and no one cares about. I'm assuming it hasn't gotten better?

Like, all the have to do is just show the footage and maybe have a person or two explaining what is happening for the sake of closed captioning and coherency. THAT'S IT.

Thank god they lose the rights in 2020, hope they never get them again.

seriously now, yeah i agree nbc sucks.what they did to the lack of coverage and delays are just inexcusable and just plain lazy.hope some other network carry the sports in the future

Today's gymnastics was fun to watch, my friends went mad when Korea ended up getting silver after the acceptance of the appeal.

Had to tell them it's not really Korea's fault, but rather, it was the judges for not awarding them the points for the dismount. Not that it really matters to me as China still got the gold.

I do find it funny that Team GB still haven't gotten a gold yet.

Oh? Who takes over? This is my first year watching NBC-exclusive. Before I had the choice of NBC and another network, and they definitively went all biased America this and that, America, America, oh did you hear? AMERICA!!!??

Besides, lots of people from America like to route for the country they emigrated on. Things like the World Cup are still relevant in America, even if the country as a whole doesn't have it as "the" big sport.
