    3DS version?

Have a feeling I know the answer to this thanks to all the hype over NSMB2 and dual digital/retail releases, but is there any word at all? Nintendo Power was even kinda a troll and teased about it in the last issue with no word on a date. Just... getting kinda lonely out here what with everyone else practically getting a chance to play clean through by now.

Don't feel too lonely, I'm sitting in the same boat as you.

    As am I.

Someone needs to go and prod NOA until they wake up and give us things.

NSMB2 is being released in August, meaning we'll probably be getting the 3DS version sometime after that.

Don't own a 3DS myself and I'm planning to download UB onto my PS3 and transfer to my Vita. Though if UB 3DS does come out after NSMB2, Nintendo has lost most of my respect.

At this point, I'd say it's pretty much a guarantee. It's been, what, a month now?

NOA does weird things like this all the time. This, presumably, is one of the reasons nobody likes them. (Another obvious one is that they don't bring over things like Solatorobo or The Last Story that are already available in English courtesy of NOE, but SOME COMPANIES help mitigate that.)

There's one slight hope, though. A recent ad for NSMB2 was worded rather a bit awkwardly as "the first game available both on the eShop and as a retail title". That having been said, using this to assert anything would be Smash-Bros.-level crazy paranoia.

Sigh. Mario is like the COD of Nintendo. While it used to be something that tried to be unique, at this point it feels trite and like the same thing every year; despite this, it sells like gangbusters and undeniably impacts the development of games on their systems. Makes me a bit sad as the sort of person who enjoys pretty much every Nintendo franchise (esp. Fire Emblem and Metroid) except for mainline Mario.

Last I saw from Tom, there was a possibility of the 3DS version being delayed until August with a possibility of it coming out after NSMB2 (but supposedly not because Nintendo hates me).

Welp, it's August now and NSMB2 is right around the corner. Any way we can get any kind of indication about where the game is at for the 3DS?

Not asking for anything major, just a quick blurb every once in a while saying the company is aware a 3DS userbase for the game still exists.

Man... I kinda feel bad for XSEED. They did everything right and are handling this mess pretty professionally, and as a reward, NoA is boning them in favor of giving tired old rehash first dibs.

At least NoA also let XSEED work with The Last Story, probably one of the biggest games XSEED will ever handle.

But Nintendo is being a BACONBACONBACON these day, even a hardcore Nintendo's fan like me have to admit it.
