Nope, never played any of them. I am planning to get them at my nearest retail store though..despite hearing of their atrocious translations. So I'll let you know once I have them.

As for play order, Song of the Ocean must be played last. The other two can be played in whatever order, but I felt the NA release order is the best one and I don't need to repeat why.

Oh, it's not just Trails and the Gagharv Trilogy, either. There were two games before even those, simply known as "Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes" and "Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II." Much more Dragon Quest-ish games, released back in the 16-bit era -- the first one even made it to North America on the TurboGrafx-16 CD, and is renowned for its terrible voice-acting (but above-average translation!).

I'm a great fan of Gagharv Trilogy, and one of my favorite RPGs ever is Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch. It is a shame that the three Gagharv games got such a bad translation that it took XSeed to take over localizing Falcom games to make the superb Legend of Heroes series to have its reputation saved in the west.

My Chris action figure is like the "treasure" of my collection since for all the action figures I have, she is the one I least expected it to exist.

Would be awesome if there's a Thomas-Michel-Gueld nenpucchi set~. Just because those three are the iconic characters of Gagharv Trilogy~.

And one again: what's everyone's party on SotO Special Scenario? And if you still don't get all of them, what kind of party you've planned?
My current party - Forte (mandatory), Jan (for stealing stuffs+backup healer), Rachel (backup healer), Chris (still working to get all her Orbs+main healer for now), Lodi (main attacker), Conrad (just got him and I feel he needs more love)
My planned main party - Forte (mandatory+main attacker+backup healer), Una (main mage+Ensemble slave), Thomas/Slade (eye candy+main attacker), Archem (main healer), Lodi (backup attacker), Stella (eye candy+backup mage)
And if someone created parties with certain themes, share 'em too! Especially since we have two/three versions for certain characters, opening possibilities for LOLCLONES parties .

@Gintoki: "Inevitable twist of fate", indeed....he's one of the funniest characters in PotMW, but I like perverted Julio and bad luck Goose better.

@airzone: he returns it! Look closely at the after-credits event: after Una confessed her feelings, there's a love emoticon flying above them.

@Court: I assume "certain aspects of battle" you mentioned are...
- Skills -> Crafts
- Deathblow/Finishing Move/Special -> S-Crafts

- positioning
- no random encounters; monsters are visible in field
Oh and seeing that you're a Michel fan and I'm a Thomas fan, do you think Thomas/Michel make a good -yaoi- couple? I suspect that Michel is the one who saved Thomas from being shipwrecked after his final battle with Ramon. That's enough for some shipping fuel.
But truthfully, I ship Michel/Elenoa and Thomas/Archem (as pictured in my sig LOL). The ending of AToV implies something is going on between Michel and Elenoa. As for Thomas/Archem....it's just a crack pairing that was born because their personality is similar to one of my favorite pairing in Trails series.

For everyone:
Do you know that Douglas just made a cameo in Ao no Kiseki as Sonya's adjutant? It cracks me up when he appears in a sidequest. Likewise is Joanna. She becomes Elie's maid in Crossbell games.

Anyone else thinks Geppeus=Rael? I mean, where else we can find ice mountains in Gagharv-verse? Also, everything about Geppeus is exactly what Elenoa feared about Rael's future.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I meant about the battle system. It was kind of nice going into it with the similarities between the two. In fact, I hopped onto Trails after playing Song of the Ocean.
