OUYA: A New Kind of Video Game Console

OUYA: The revolution will be televised

OUYA is a new game console for the TV, powered by Android.

We've packed this little box full of power. Developers will have access to OUYA's open design so they can produce their games for the living room, taking advantage of everything the TV has to offer.

Best of all, OUYA's world-class controller, console, and interface come in one beautiful, inexpensive package. All the games on it will be free, at least to try.

The project was funded just a few hours ago, and people are excited that it's hackable. I won't buy this one, but interested in seeing how this plays out.

I feel this will be bad XD
Games finished in 2013 : Thearythm FF - Pokémon B2 - Tales of Graces F - Miles Edgeworth Investigations - Fire Emblem Awakening - Spirit Camera - Hakuoki - FFVIII - Ar Tonelico II - Riviera
    Okamiden - Rhythm Thief

Still looking for Kid Icarus Cards! If you got any that you don't want anymore, they'll get some awsome love!

I think it's a great concept for Indie games! I'm really skeptical when she said that even "major publishers" can also release games on that platform because she said the word "hackable".

Let's be honest, if you have a hackable console then you are going to end up with a lot of piracy.

Then again... Google Play is adding extra encryption on their apps now so who knows.

Yeah nice for indie, but what about founding? They'll do like for steam? Donation if wanted?

I'll probably get it against my better judgment. People are saying all the right things, but $99 to play Peggle and whatever other casual games on my television doesn't really inspire anything but a yawn from me.

yeah uh, I'll just keep hooking my PC up to my TV if I want the "~TV EXPERIENCE~"
but damn, kudos to them on picking up that much money so quickly if nothing else

I am not that fond in "Indie Games" either, so I will politely pass on this piece of hardware.

I already have a computer and Steam, so I see no reason to buy another console myself, but it's a nice concept and I'm sure there's a market base for it.

    Steam: celestialblade85
Guild Wars 2: CelestialBlade.5107 (Stormbluff Isle)
Phantasy Star Online 2: CelestialBlade (Ship 02)
