psvita game management

hey folks, i recently started playing the vita..so far the most appealing game which was released to the local store was john drake's adventure.
at any rate, my question is as followed:
how do i avoid data corruption after i wish to exit the game and take out the game?
i pretty much left the game in the vita, to avoid harm.
with the psp, it was easier with the UMD, i exit the game pernmantly and the machine is smart enough automaticly knowing i finished playing this software.

im looking foward to the release of gravity rush here, and Ys of course, and i wish to know how to manage it in the long run.

You could always turn off the system before removing your game card.

I am taking the no risk route by doing it the old fashioned way. Turning off the vita first then inserting/taking out the game.
